This week, at the Renault Frères Innovation Trophies ceremony, our RTS team was honored with the Silver Trophy in the Technology category. The OBELIX project—set to revolutionize logistics not only across all Renault factories but also in other sectors—perfectly embodies the innovative spirit of our Engineering team in Spain. Supported by 11 patents, OBELIX is a testament to the fact that innovation is at the heart of RTS, and we are fully committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and reinforces RTS’s commitment to continue on this path. We couldn’t be prouder of this achievement—congratulations to everyone who made it possible! We’re so proud to celebrate the inventiveness of those who shape our company every day! It’s the core purpose of our Renault Frères Innovation Trophies, which we’ve launched 4 years ago! Yesterday, we awarded 9 Trophies across categories going from tech to customer relations and quality. I want to personally congratulate our winners for their inspiring projects, among which #AI had a big part to play: Manufacturing Platform 4 AI, E-Tech 4x4 300 ch, Obelix, Mobilize V2G, Plant Connect, XR Kitting, and Dacia’s live rendezvous. With a special mention to: - Software République’s U1st: a concept based on Renault’s FlexEVan, the 1st generation of software defined vehicles. It’s evolutionary, packed with connectivity and very modular on the hardware side. Its goal is to bring services and #healthcare closer to those who suffer from accessibility issues. - And Emblème: our trailblazer towards sustainable #mobility, with a carbon footprint reduced by 90% from cradle to grave. Thanks to a dual-energy powertrain and many developments in terms of materials, aerodynamics, and design. These achievements show that #innovation is everywhere: in tech and engineering, as well as in conceptual breakthroughs that open doors to new business models. It’s our most valuable resource to show that cars are not the problem but the solution. A thousand thank you’s to our teams for their creativity and commitment to pushing boundaries. Renault Group’s innovation momentum is reflected by a steady growth of its patent portofolio. With 577 patents filed in 2023, and a continued growth projected in 2024, we are already in the Top 10 and are close to reaching France’s Top 5 per INPI rankings! Let’s keep innovating, collaborating, and believing in what we can achieve together to make Renault Group bolder than ever!
