Do you feel stuck in your approach to child care setting management or unsure if you're truly meeting the needs of the children in your care? One of our providers shared this insight after working with CICC: '[I realized] how valuable of a resource the CICC [coaching] program is to be able to have someone come in with a new set of eyes just to see how things are going and then provide feedback and strategies that we can use to move forward.' At CICC, we're here to be that fresh perspective, helping you navigate challenges and enhance your child care setting. Our coaching helps transform how you engage with the children in your care, making every day a step forward in providing the best care possible. Are you looking to create a more inclusive, supportive, and efficient environment in your child care setting? The principles of HOPE (Habits, Ownership, Planning, Empathy) are your guide to fostering collaboration and positivity among your team. 👶 Establish consistent habits and routines to minimize decision fatigue. 🎨 Clearly define roles to build pride and ownership among your staff. 🗂️ Plan with a purpose to ensure every day is productive and predictable. 💬 Encourage open communication and empathy to build strong relationships. By incorporating these principles, you can create a nurturing and enriching environment where children and educators thrive. The journey of raising a child with special needs is unique for every family, often accompanied by triumphs and challenges. As educators, we have the opportunity to be more than just teachers; we can be allies, understanding partners, and supporters in this journey. Recognizing parents' daily lives, struggles, and victories is crucial in forming a partnership that transcends traditional teacher-student dynamics. At Distinctive Method Interventions, LLC, we advocate for a collaborative approach, where educators and parents work hand-in-hand to support the child’s learning and growth. This partnership is built on open communication, mutual respect, and, most importantly, understanding and compassion for the experiences of parents navigating the special needs education system. Let's strengthen this partnership. Together our voices can inspire change and promote a deeper connection between families and educators. We can create a more inclusive and empathetic educational environment for children with special needs.

Last week, I teamed up with MercyCare Executive Director - Early Years Rosina Smith Smith on ABC Perth Radio to dive into the crucial topic of empowering educators in Early Years settings. We explored how building capacity and upskilling can make a world of difference for all children including those needing early intervention and behaviour support. Early intervention is essential for nurturing their young minds, and I believe that investing in our educators is the cornerstone for the positive growth and development of our children.
