Here at Celeration ABA, we believe every small win is a BIG victory in disguise! 🏆 Whether it’s a child manding for the first time or an adult reaching a social milestone, every achievement counts and deserves to be celebrated. And here’s a secret: by focusing on these “small wins,” we’re not only reinforcing positive behavior, but we’re also building confidence and motivation in our learners. The Standard Celeration Chart (SCC) is one of our tools to track and celebrate these moments, showing progress in real-time and empowering families to see growth unfold. If you’re a BCBA who loves data and the magic it can create, you’re in good company! Here’s to a week full of small wins that lead to BIG outcomes. Let’s celebrate every single one! 🎉 #SmallWinsBigVictories #BehaviorAnalysis #BCBA #AutismAwareness #DataDrivenABA

Overview of Ascent-Based Intervention in Behavior Analysis. When we use Ascent in ABA, we focus on emphasizing ethical principles and practical strategies: 1️⃣ Core Ethical Principles: Respect individual ascent and withdrawal, promoting dignity and autonomy. 2️⃣ Informed Consent: Ensure learners understand service delivery, including benefits and the right to withdraw consent. 3️⃣ Ascent Withdrawal: Offer choices to empower learners and avoid coercion, making data-based decisions. 4️⃣ Treatment Design: Create interventions that remove aversive stimuli and establish positive rapport. Let's prioritize dignity and autonomy in behavior analysis interventions! 💬💡 Brett DiNovi, BCBA May Beaubrun https://lnkd.in/eRaZAvz6 #EthicalPractice #Empowerment #BehaviorAnalysis #assentbasedinterventions #assent #appliedbehavioranalysis #choice #rbt #bcba #thegoldstandard #bcbaowned #familyoperated #choices

How many questions are on the BCBA exam? What score do u need to pass? The BCBA exam consists of 185 multiple-choice questions, but only 160 questions are scored. The remaining 25 questions are unscored pilot questions. To pass, the BACB uses a scaled scoring system, and the passing score is typically around 76% of the scored questions, though the exact passing score may vary slightly between test versions. This means you would need to correctly answer about 114–120 of the 160 scored questions to pass. However, it’s important to note that the specific passing score may change with each version of the exam. https://path4aba.org/

Struggling is good. Struggling with authentic tasks mimics real life so much more than completing those types of tasks and assessments done at most schools. Problems like yelling out, “I can’t do this” arise when the tasks get a little too difficult, but ultimately are manageable. Most at-risk kids have some self-defeating behaviors including those that result in personal failure. The model for these types of programs is that helping participants push past their self-perceived limitations results in the beginnings of success rather than a failure orientation. This leads to a success-building through a ‘success’ behavioral cycle. https://bit.ly/2viZdl7

New Blog Post | Unveiling Barriers with Behavior Intervention Plans By Morgan van Diepen, M.Ed., BCBA, Co-owner of ABA Visualized "Developing and disseminating Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) is a crucial and common approach for providing effective support for individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. These individualized plans are designed to decrease these behaviors that impede learning and pose safety risks. However, despite their significance, several barriers hinder the realization of desired outcomes."
