There are still some places remaining on the next 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝘾𝙁 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙚 starting at the end of April. 🔸 What makes this Programme different? As well as fulfilling the ICF requirement for coach mentoring I focus on nurturing you as a coach. I know many coaches are apprehensive about ICF – they would like to have the credential and the greater professional credibility that gives them, but have heard that it’s difficult to get. hey’re worried that they won’t be good enough or experienced enough for mentoring, that they will embarass themselves or be told they’re rubbish as a coach. I demystify it all and take you step by step through the process, and hold your hand if you need me to, so that you increase your coaching confidence and develop your coaching skills. Here is what coaches have to say about the programme: 🔹 “𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡! 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬” Jen Goddard, Soulfire Coaching 🔹 "𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝.𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚. ✅ 634 hours of coaching ✅ 227.5 hours of coach training ✅ 20 hours of coach mentoring and many more hours of coaching supervision… The above has resulted in me pressing a button this morning. A little blue one, that took all of 1 second to mean the ball is now rolling on my application for my International Coaching Federation PCC coaching credential! I had 2 clear Continuing Professional Development aims for 2024. The first was to do something random! I wanted to develop a new skill in something completely unrelated to my current professional practice (but something I have an interest in) to put me back into a place of learning, to not having a level of competency, to developing in a different way - hence my mini adventure into training in #RaynorMassage (which I will totally be bringing into my work by the way! 🤣) The second was to take the steps towards PCC and to continue to deepen my coaching understanding, in order to sharpen my skills and enhance both my coaching and facilitation practice, as a way to be even more fully in service of others. What I thought was going to simply be about the credential has turned into an almost year long journey, with the ever brilliant Liz Wilson PCC (who has been my PCC mentor) and a deep, deeeeep dive into who *i am* as a coach, not just *how* I coach. ✨ I have been stretched! ✨I have been deeeeeply uncomfortable at times (Liz got to see me in ugly crying mode 😳). ✨ I have worked right up towards the edges of my ‘Beth-ness’, identifying what holds me back, then tentatively stepping forward and then holding back again… But today, today after faffing / procrastinating / holding back / putting off the submission (it’s been ready to go for the last 3 weeks), I felt ready! To align the inner and outer workings of my practise. To own me. To Just B. Another step along the path I am walking has been taken. It feels like a significant one! #coach #coaching #PCC #professionaldevelopment #personaldevelopment #Growth Animas Centre for Coaching #JustB #JustBCoaching

Coaching safety tip #3 – How is coaching different from other helping functions? While coaching may share some similarities with other helping functions such as mentoring, counselling, and training, it's a distinct process focused on empowering clients to find their own solutions. Here's how it differs: Coaching is a collaborative partnership focused on future goals, where the client leads the journey and the coach facilitates growth. Mentoring offers guidance from someone with experience in a specific area, providing advice and sharing wisdom. Counselling addresses emotional or psychological issues, focusing on healing and resolving past challenges. Training is instructional, focused on developing specific skills or knowledge. Understanding these distinctions will ensure you embark on your coaching journey with clear expectations 🌱 3 questions to ask your coach 1. How do you differentiate coaching from mentoring, and what role do you play in guiding versus empowering clients to find their own solutions? 2. Can you explain how coaching is distinct from counselling, particularly in terms of focus, goals, and the approach to addressing challenges? 3. How does your coaching approach differ from formal training and what techniques do you use to facilitate growth rather than providing direct instruction? #Coaching #SafetyTips #ResponsibleCoaching #CoachingEthics #ClientCuriosity #CoachingIndustry #ProfessionalDevelopment #ABCAlwaysBeCurious #CoachingSafety #StayInformed #EmpowerYourself #Coaching #ExecutiveCoaching #LifeCoaching #CareerCoaching #WellnessCoaching #Mentoring #Counseling #Training Additional resource: https://lnkd.in/e79vU4F7

Understanding the distinctions between coaching, mentoring, counseling, and consulting is crucial for personal and professional development. Here's a breakdown of each approach: - Coaching: Driven by asking powerful questions, goal-setting, and accountability, coaching empowers individuals to achieve specific goals and enhance their performance through self-discovery. - Mentoring: Involves a seasoned individual guiding and supporting someone less experienced, fostering long-term growth and development through a relationship-based approach. - Counseling: Focuses on addressing past or present psychological challenges and personal issues to enhance mental well-being, with a counselor aiding the client in navigating these obstacles. - Consulting: Centers on experts providing tailored advice, solutions, and strategies within their domain, offering direct recommendations to address problems rather than guiding clients to their own solutions. Understanding the difference of these approaches can help individuals and organizations leverage the right method to achieve their goals effectively. #Coaching #Mentoring #Counseling #Consulting #ProfessionalDevelopment
