My Dos and Don’ts for RUOK? Day next week. (There’s only one of each). Do: Organise something (anything) that fits with your culture and that your people actually want to engage with. Don’t: Make this a once a year thing with no follow up or follow through. Beyond that, you do you. What have you got planned for the day? #wellbeing #mentalhealth #humanresources

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐁𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 It’s the end of a busy week, and before launching into the next, let’s give ourselves space to truly connect with the people who keep us grounded. In the middle of all our goals, deadlines, and to-dos, it’s easy to let social connections slide. But they’re essential—not just for staying balanced, but for our overall health and well-being, too. This weekend, put the phone down, close the laptop, and make time for a real conversation or a quiet moment with the ones you care about. It might be exactly what you (and they) need. Have a great Sunday, everyone. #CareerDevelopment #Wellbeing #WorkLifeBalance #MentalHealthMatters

Ever have one of those chats with a friend that makes you feel lighter, more energized, and ready to take on anything? The kind where you suddenly feel like everything’s going to be okay, like finding a rainbow after a storm? Well, yesterday, I almost missed one of those calls. But amidst our busy schedules and the daily grind, we managed to connect, and it was exactly what we both needed. The ideas started flowing, and it was incredible how much clarity and motivation came out of just one conversation. So, here’s a little reminder: Reach out to a friend today. Schedule that coffee chat or phone call you’ve been putting off. You might be surprised at how much it can lift your spirits and boost your productivity. #LawyerHealth #Wellbeing #LawyerWellness #SelfCare #StayConnected

As a business owner, I find it difficult to mentally unplug. I constantly think about my clients' hiring needs and candidates' careers, wanting to find reasonable and sustainable solutions. The roller coaster ride of recruitment is no joke either! If you've done this job long enough, you know the highs are very high, and the lows can be very low—if you let them be. Fortunately, I have some good friends who make me laugh and take life less seriously. They care for me as a person and not what I do for a living. We don't talk about work. We don't talk about the legal industry. We don't talk about politics. We talk about where we're at with our relationships and perhaps the latest Netflix series. :) Social wellness is crucial to our mental health.
