🌍 It’s December—a time of reflection, celebration, and preparation across the medical education world. 🌍✨ Medical schools globally are at different stages of their academic calendar: ✔ Some are winding down their terms with finals and research presentations. ✔ Others are gearing up for a January start, planning orientations and new classes. ✔ Many are mid-term, using this time to reflect, adjust, and refocus. It’s easy to feel pulled in every direction. No matter where you are in the cycle, we see the incredible effort you put into shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. But wherever you are in the academic calendar, these three strategies can help you stay grounded: 1️⃣ 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀: Acknowledge milestones—big or small—with your students and staff. 2️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴: Create space for rest and reflection in the midst of planning. 3️⃣ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱: Use this time to reflect on challenges and opportunities for growth. 👉 What’s one success you’re proud of this month? Share your wins below—we’d love to cheer you on! 🎉 #MedicalEducation #FutureDoctors #MedicalSchoolLife #EducatorSupport #HealthcareLeadership #GoalSetting #ReflectionTime #StethoSteps

I had the fortunate opportunity to be asked to develop a 4min video on my path from academia to industry for a CIHR funded program called myroad.ca. There were four main questions, which we split into four videos. This video is my answer to, in a broad sense, what medical education companies do. My take home message is that medical education is a great tool for filling in the "skill" gap for managing a patient on a new-to-clinic therapy. But these were just my quick thoughts and Med Ed is much more than this. How do you think medical education impacts healthcare?

At this year’s Annual Scientific Congress, MEDIT proudly presented the impactful outcomes of our flagship program, “Enhancing Clinical Competency Through Virtual Practice Sessions.” This hybrid learning model is designed to revolutionize preparation for the MRCP UK Examinations, a high-stakes postgraduate specialty training exam. 💡 What Makes the Program Special? Our Hybrid Learning Model combines the best of both worlds: • Virtual Practice Sessions (VPS): Simulated scenarios to sharpen clinical skills. • In-Person Mock Exams & Clinical Bedside Teaching: Hands-on training to enhance real-world competency and readiness. This unique approach caters to diverse learning preferences, offering both hybrid and online-only options. 📊 Our Results Speak Volumes! • 91.6% pass rate among hybrid learners! • A stark contrast to the 34.6% pass rate of online-only participants. These results underscore the value of blending online and in-person learning for high-stakes exams, helping our participants master the clinical and decision-making skills they need to succeed. 🎯 Why It Matters The MRCP exams are challenging, but with MEDIT’s structured, interactive, and personalized support, we’re transforming the way medical trainees prepare. On improving the education for medical students, I started improving lectures and posting them on my new Youtube channel: https://lnkd.in/g3Xr5cMe I believe this would help on boarding during rotations, and focuses more on relevant clinical information and thought processes that are applicable directly in patient care. https://lnkd.in/ghsd6b2v Check it out, let me know your thoughts. For my co-doctors and co-surgeons, may consider the channel as a source that your students may benefit from. Planning to update channel and upload relevant videos both clinical and those that improve student well fare in the channel.

Are we preparing future doctors for clinical excellence, or just helping them pass exams? 🤔 As we prepare to head to Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) LSL 2024 in Atlanta, I’m excited to engage in this critical conversation about reshaping medical education. We've all been there—stuck in traditional instructional methods that focus on knowledge retention, but is that enough? Are our future doctors truly prepared for the challenges of real-world practice, or are we just arming them to pass the next test? At OnlineMedEd, we believe in transforming the way we teach, not just to help students pass their boards but to excel as clinicians. 💡 It’s time to challenge the status quo. Let's rethink how we approach educational technology and tools. How can we ensure our resources build competent, confident doctors ready for the realities of patient care? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Let’s connect, share ideas, and make an impact at #AAMC2024. Whether you're an educator or a clinician, your insights could help us shape the future of medical education together. 🔥 Cody Bennett, Maggie Hadinger, Doug Hughes, Adam Rooke, Karson Kovakovich, PhD

How do you determine success with your medical education activity? One thing is clear: basic ‘volume’ metrics that align poorly with #pharma’s core objectives of improving clinical decision-making and health outcomes are still too often relied upon. Instead, educational programmes on our independent HCP platform Medthority are set up to measure and report on the impacts that matter most to our industry partners.
