‘HONOUR'-BASED VIOLENCE I have recently started to write what will become an extremely comprehensive guide to women’s personal safety, covering subjects such as ‘awareness’, ‘intuition’, ‘predictions’, 'manipulative strategies’, 'bystander intervention', ‘sexual assault’, ‘rape’, ‘domestic violence’, 'spiking’, 'stalking’, ‘forced prostitution’ and ‘honour’-based violence' and more. Now, 50,000 words into this project, I am asking if any of my contacts are aware of anyone who has significant experience dealing with ‘honour’-based violence. I am currently studying the case of 17-year-old Shafilea Ahmed who was murdered in Warrington by her parents in a so-called ‘honour’-based killing in 2003, and wonder if anyone has insight information in relation to similar cases. #womensafety #domesticviolence #domesticabuse #honourbasedviolence #honourbasedkillings #personalsafety

Domestic violence is everyone’s issue. I'm deeply committed to fostering a safe and respectful workplace culture. However, the fight against domestic violence extends beyond office walls. With the recent media attention showcasing videos of a woman being physically abused, it reinforces that this is a societal issue that demands our attention and action. Domestic violence affects employees, their families, and ultimately, our communities. We must use our platforms to raise awareness, provide support, and advocate for change. Let's work together to create environments where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to speak out against abuse. #EndDomesticViolence #SafetyFirst

🚨Violence is more than just physical violence. ❗If you see a woman being stalked or being leered at, that is also violence. And the answer to that is simple: Intervene, and make sure it doesn't continue. Whether it is by checking in on the survivor or simply calling someone's attention to what is happening, we can intervene with responsibility, keeping both our and the survivor's safety in mind. Together, we can build a world free of gender-based violence. Dikhi Gadbad? Tez Socho. #DakhalDo. #EndVAW #BystanderIntervention
