🚀 It’s Open Enrollment Season! 🚀 For employers, open enrollment is a critical time. It's when employees make decisions about their health care, retirement, and other essential benefits—choices that shape their year ahead. But with 86% of employees feeling confused about their options, there's a clear opportunity to improve the experience! Here are 5 strategies to help employees feel supported, informed, and confident during open enrollment: 1️⃣ Clear, Consistent Communication: Start early! Communicate across channels—emails, team meetings, social media—to ensure employees have the info they need at their fingertips. 📅💬 2️⃣ Create Urgency (without Stress): Deadlines matter, but balancing urgency with a supportive tone encourages timely decisions without adding extra pressure. 📌✅ 3️⃣ Leverage Technology: Interactive tools can make it easy! Use a centralized platform so employees can compare plans, make selections, and understand options based on their needs. 🖥️📲 4️⃣ Gather Employee Input: Asking employees about their benefit preferences shows you’re listening. This can improve satisfaction by offering benefits that truly resonate. 🗣️💡 5️⃣ Make it User-Friendly: Simplify visuals, instructions, and terminology. A more intuitive, friendly enrollment process means less confusion and more engagement! 👓🎯 Supporting employees during open enrollment builds trust, increases satisfaction, and creates a more engaged workforce. With open enrollment around the corner it's time for many working Americans to start making benefits selections for the upcoming year. A new study by Equitable, a leading financial services organization, found that more than half of Americans eligible for workplace benefits through their employer regret their choices made during last year's open enrollment period. While open enrollment typically offers employees a two-week window during which they can make benefits selections, the study found that the average amount of time Americans spent making these choices last year ranged from only 30-60 minutes. In comparison, the average American spends nearly two hours on social media every day. When U.S. employees were asked why they regret their benefits selections, 25% said they did not adjust their benefits to match their lifestyle changes, 20% said they forgot to make their selections by the deadline and 19% said they did not understand the options available or the benefits they selected, according to the study. https://lnkd.in/edsiMhUb #openenrollment #benefits #employeebenefits #benefitoptions
