I tried so hard to grow on Instagram a few years ago and it just didn’t work 😑. • Timing is a real factor in your career growth. And sometimes, God wants you to use that time to grow and develop. • Instead of fighting with myself and getting upset that things were not growing on Instagram, I actually even considered quitting Instagram, I had a feeling that things would grow later for me. • Today on Instagram, things are growing for me finally. We’re quick to share the highs. The wins, the promotions, the perfect Instagram shots. But rarely do we talk about the lows in real time. Only after we’ve “made it” do we look back and say “It was all worth it.” But what if we shared our struggles along the way? Think about what it would mean to have conversations like: ↳“I got rejected from 5 jobs this week and I’m questioning everything.” ↳“I bombed that presentation and now I’m worried about my career.” ↳“I’m stuck and I have no idea what my next move is.” It would change things. We’d realise we’re not alone. Others are right there with us, stumbling through the unknown.. Our unfiltered struggles are relatable; our highlight reels less so. So be the one to start sharing while the story is still being written. Give others permission to do the same. The present is messy, uncertain, and full of lessons. Reporting live from maternity leave because well… Q1 was a BANNER quarter for my team and company. What was so exceptional about it? 1. We launched our first multi-pronged brand campaign and the stats are in. It garnered millions of impressions and had ceiling busting engagement rates across social platforms. (Yes, millions. Thanks to one sneaky “silver” robot and a killer creative content team). 2. Our social metrics for the month of April topped the charts- in an industry that’s typically pretty quiet on social channels (with median engagement rates of 1-2%)- we 6x’d the industry’s average on instagram, and outperformed engagement rates on ALL of our social channels. 3. We jumped onto a rocket ship with our social media growth. Our audience grew by thousands across all of our channels and we cruised past the 200k follower count on IG. Yes followers are a vanity metric- but followers that are deeply engaged? Priceless. 4. And perhaps the best part? We all worked together to pull this off. We learned new skills, stretched our minds, and rallied each other with authentic ‘cross functional finesse.’ How did we do it? The magic is in the team. A journey of over 2 years comes to an end as I bid farewell to my incredible team and colleagues of Sprinklr. Being part of the amazing product team has been nothing short of dream run. I still think of the day when I got my offer, because it was not until a couple of months later, when I realised how sought after the Product role of Sprinklr is and how difficult it is to crack the interviews here. Building up within the firm isn’t easy either. You get the best talent from across the country, across institutes with a zeal to excel. I learnt, built and shipped products, handled clients, put down fires and I take this experience with me. For the people who don’t know, I was part of Care Reporting team, which handles the Data Visualisation Product of Sprinklr. Oh to be part of such a difficult product 😂 When you spend some time here, you learn the “Sprinklr Way” and I take the following with me as I move to the next episode. 1. Be Customer Obsessed 2. Be nice. People never forget how you make them feel. 3. Fix it don’t complain. 4. Set high standards. And that one value that’s not written in the bylaws which is: “Always bring your A-game to the party” Thank you team for the memories. P.S.
