A lot of Advisers get pretty grumpy coming up to EOFY 🥵 All of the ADMIN, the follow up, chasing clients xyz... The result of being either: 1. Under-supported 2. Having to take on too many clients One thing we pride ourselves on at Pivot, is providing a top-tier service to our clients. Making sure that our T's are crossed, our I's are dotted & we're identifying every opportunity available to our clients. To do that, our Advice team needs to be supported & have the time to focus on exactly that. What we do is: 1. Every Adviser has a dedicated pod - Associate, CSO, Paraplanner. 2. They take on a book of absolutely no more than 100 clients. 3. Prospecting for new clients in wealth management is not that different from curling. The initial trajectory will have a significant impact in the outcomes (I have many stories to share about that). But even with a perfect aim, all it takes is a bit of sand to hijack the entire process. As wealth managers, your goal is to identify and remove avoidable misunderstandings which prevent conversations moving forward when they should be moving forward, in appearance effortlessly. In theory, this is easy. But in practice, we often only realise where there is friction once the conversation has already stalled. And while you might have another go at making things work out, it is of course easier to pre-empt stalling. The issue is we all have blindspots. And, by definition, it is hard to see our own blindspots. Maybe you have identified a symptom, but are not sure of the cause or how to overcome them Maybe you are curious if another relationship manager’s question might highlight a blindspot you were not aware of? Maybe you’re not sure you’re getting all the referrals you could and should be? Or maybe you’re concerned that something is getting in the way of those referrals becoming clients?
