There are several great reasons to consider outsourcing some business functions to virtual teams based in the Philippines. Here’s one that doesn’t get enough air time. Time zones! When you think of outsourcing work to offshore teams, time zone differences can become a real headache and that’s just not the case with the Philippines. Every major city in the Philippines is in a time zone that works well for Australian businesses. At most, they are two hours behind Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. That changes a bit when daylight saving kicks in but the difference still doesn’t disrupt the flow of work and outputs too much. For Adelaide and Perth, the difference is negligible or non-existent. Still on the fence about outsourcing to offshore virtual teams? What’s holding you back? #outsourcing #virtualteams #timezones

That's a great point, Brian. The Philippines' time zone advantage is definitely a game-changer for Australian businesses looking to collaborate with virtual teams. It makes for seamless communication and smooth workflows. It's also worth noting that the high level of English proficiency among Filipinos can enhance communication. This combination makes it a compelling option for many companies looking to scale their operations.

Outsourcing can have incredible value anywhere on the planet—the Philippines would be great for Oceania and, in many cases, the USA, where we're based.

We completely agree, Brian. The time zone difference can indeed provide an advantage for businesses in Australia. Additionally, the Philippines has a strong English-speaking population, which can enhance communication. Plus, the cultural affinity between the two countries can lead to smoother interactions.

I've often found businesses love the slight difference in timezone because they get a few extra hours of their team working on the business.

Brian Jones Great point! The time zone alignment is such an underrated advantage, especially for businesses needing seamless communication and consistent workflow. When we pair and create FIT for our clients this is a consideration as well. Have you found that this alignment also contributes to better collaboration and quicker turnaround times, compared to more distant offshore locations?
