As we come to the end of our 25th year of operating Senior Partner Madeleine Davitt, reflects on 2024: 2024 was a particularly important year for the firm as we celebrated our 25th year of operating. Over the year we celebrated the growth of the firm, our milestones and those people who have been at the firm since day one – yes, they are still with us 25 years down the line! As a nation, we have taken part in a general election, welcomed a new government, and participated in the Paris Olympics. However, sadly over the year we also witnessed riots, the continuation of wars and ongoing economic uncertainty. This uncertainty has led to a dip in big merger and acquisition deals, as well as in construction, new projects and development. The UK housing market has continued to strain with a backlog of four million homes, higher interest rates and a cost-of-living crisis. Over the year we have stood shoulder to shoulder with our clients, guiding them through these rapidly changing times. Our Special Interest Groups, dedicated to responding to emerging issues, have developed reports, training and events for clients and contacts.
