Pedagogy refers to the teaching methods and practices employed by educators to facilitate effective learning. This encompasses the distinct approaches, theories, and philosophies that shape a teacher's instructional style, as well as their strategies for providing feedback and assessing student progress. In other words, pedagogy encompasses the 'how' of teaching, including the ways in which teachers design and deliver lessons, interact with students, and evaluate their understanding.

Differentiated teaching makes learning and teaching easier because instructional approach recognises and responds to students' diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests in a classroom. It aims to provide an optimal learning environment for each student rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. As a teacher assistant, I need to be aware of the different needs of the children in the classroom. This information informs my planning, teaching, and assessment.#learning#teaching#teacherassistants#betterteaching#teacherhacks.

To be a lifelong learner, one of the strategies I use when teaching is to see myself more as a student than a teacher. This has broken the fourth wall in most of my classes allowing students to take charge of their own learning by seeing themselves as part of the pedagogical process. In my opinion, the best way to teach is not to be a teacher.
