Time to meet the crew behind the brew. Say hello to our Technical Sales Specialist Sam Bethune ~Why did you choose to work in the brewing/distilling industry?~ I loved beer branding and marketing and hoped to get into that area, however after starting in the industry I soon discovered that brewing was far more interesting to me. Once I realised that I put all my efforts into getting into the brewing/manufacturing side of the industry. ~What would you like to see more of in the brewing/distilling industry?~ More ethnic and gender diversity. A greater focus on materials sourcing and sustainability - connection to land and farmers. And an elevation of public perception of beer and spirits as valued agricultural products. ~If your colleagues had to name a beer after you, what would it be called?~ The Yeast Whisperer ~What’s something about brewing/distilling that you wish more people knew?~ The physical process of making beer or spirit is ONE important element of a successful product or company; however, there are SO MANY other important aspects that make a beverage company great. If making products isn't your thing, there are many equally important ways to be involved in this fun and challenging industry.

No farmers, No Beer🍻🌾 From the fields of barley and hops to the poured pint. Cheers to the farmers who grow it, the brewers who craft it, and the engineers who make it possible. In brewing, process engineering transforms raw ingredients into beer. This image shows a Hop Dosing System in a brewery. This setup is designed to introduce hops into the brewing process, typically during fermentation or secondary stages like dry-hopping. It allows precise and hygienic addition of hops to achieve desired flavors in the beer. A masterpiece by - DELSTRON Cheers to farmers 🍺 #backbritishfarming

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀! A spotless brewery sets the foundation for consistent flavor and contamination-free beer. Larry Chase emphasizes that a comprehensive lab setup isn't always necessary to ensure quality. Even without the latest equipment, proactive quality assurance and robust cleaning protocols ensure your brewery is contamination-free and your flavors stay consistent. 🍺 A clean brewery not only elevates your brand but also saves money by reducing beer loss and maintenance costs. Your customers will trust a clean brewery, associating its tidiness with high-quality beer. Plus, it cuts down on labor when daily upkeep prevents grime buildup. Chase's own experience reveals how inadequate cleaning led to severe contamination, proving that clean equipment is crucial for giving your beer a fighting chance at greatness! Let's hear from our National Sales Manager Mitch Bradey. If you have dealt with Mitch then you already know what a champion he is and how lucky we are to have him on the Bintani team... Take it away Mitch. 🍺What was your previous brewing/distilling experience I spent 7 years as Head Brewer at Townsville Brewing Co. We were a 17hL brewery producing about 1000hL/year. 🍺Why did you choose the brewing/distilling industry? I tasted Little Creatures in the early 2000's and was blown away by the grapefruit and lychee flavour of the hops. There was nothing like it on the market at the time, and it led me on a journey to discover more about beer. 🍺What would like to see more of in the brewing/distilling industry? Communities supporting their local brewery. There's no need to look too far afield; there's great beer in your own backyard! 🍺What’s something about brewing/distilling that you wish more people knew? Where their beer comes from, from an ingredients point of view. For a beverage that's so widely enjoyed, It's quite amazing how little the average consumer understands about malt and hops.

Not only is it #ThrowbackThursday, but according to Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. it is #NationalHazyIPADay! Haze is caused by several factors, one of which is metal ion contamination during the brewing process. Did you know that SilcoTek's own Jesse Bischof and Kevin Morrison brewed beer using our Dursan coating process and held a blind taste test with employees? Read the summary paper to learn more about how Dursan helped to prevent metal ion leaching leading to a smooth tasting, clean smelling beer! https://lnkd.in/gG8wpVAj
