You're doing great work, Ben Blanquera I think vast improvements to MOOCs and economies in data storage and processing are turning business analysts into data analysts, and data analysts into data engineers. The proliferation and accessibility of AI tools are letting those data analysts and engineers move into the world of data science and AI/ML engineering. This is a good thing. I think the era of the full stack data scientist is imminent. I didn't expect it this quickly, but the future is bright for people who put in the time. I'm not doom and gloom about the field of data analytics; rather, I think the general availability of tools and training is just raising the bar for the field. My only ongoing concerns are: 1. retaining the field of analytics as a democratizing field, rather than an elite field, as we keep maturing 2. ensuring that we create economies of trust as more data leads to larger decisions while filtering through less checks and balances 3. building our governance and knowledge retention alongside our advancements, rather than just checking the boxes on security, data quality, and logical systems design Other than that, this is a still-new and exciting frontier. It's exciting to be here working through it,
It's hard to answer that question! Perhaps you heard that Italy banned ChatGPT, and Germany may soon follow. Every day on LinkedIn I see a new use case for AI that is mind blowing, and will put more people out of work. I'm curious to hear what you find out.
This survey will provide valuable insights to help shape future AI strategies and investments across the state.

2wThanks for the chance to discuss Ben. AI in its current state is a powerful tool—but still just a tool, not true “intelligence.” Its adoption comes with challenges, like finding high-value business cases, building trust in its decisions, and integrating it with legacy systems. Success depends on strong cloud, application, data, and security foundations—without those, even the best AI solutions may fall short. That said, I believe we’re past the “fad” stage. AI is proving its ability to deliver real business value. The key is to work closely with the business to create proofs of concept that deliver tangible value, invest in both new talent and upskilling, implement guardrails, and grow your capabilities alongside the technology. For my team, AI isn’t about replacing people but enhancing productivity. It empowers our team to accomplish more with less and to focus on meaningful, high-value work by automating tedious tasks.
