"I love transforming ordinary images into extraordinary works of art, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. With every click of my mouse, I shape and mold pixels into new and unexpected forms, creating surreal landscapes, futuristic scenarios, and dreamlike atmospheres. My goal is to push the boundaries of creativity, to experiment and innovate, and to create images that inspire wonder and awe. Whether I'm combining multiple images, tweaking colors and textures, or adding digital elements, my aim is to create a new reality, one that is both believable and impossible. Photomanipulation is my art form, my way of expressing myself and sharing my vision with the world."

🎨 Embracing Challenges in the Art World 🎨 Just recently, I faced a challenge that reminded me of both the beauty and complexity of navigating the art world. I was preparing a new series—a mix of illustration and written portraits, a style I’ve been excited to explore. But, as many artists know, transforming a concept into reality isn’t always straightforward! I’d envisioned a collection that revealed deeper layers of our shared human experience, even for well-known figures. Each portrait would be crafted by hand, using words that mirror personal struggles—a reminder that even the most admired among us have their challenges. The process, however, was meticulous and required enormous patience, precision, and dedication to detail. At times, I felt like I was balancing on a tightrope between excitement and frustration, trying to capture the essence of each subject while still creating something fresh and unique. What kept me going was the realization that art, much like life, involves tackling obstacles head-on. Whether it's experimenting with new techniques, handling unexpected delays, or pushing through the creative blocks, these challenges shape us as much as our successes do. In the end, the result is exceeding my expectations and reminded me why I love this path. Every project, every challenge, adds another layer to my journey as an artist. Here’s to embracing the challenges that make us grow, and to the art that inspires us to keep moving forward. 🌟 The final result is coming soon! #ArtJourney #CreativeProcess #EmbraceTheChallenge #ArtistLife

While scenes may be true, lenses always lie. Perspective is all about the hardwired position from where you see things and what you choose to focus on through your personal lens. What I like about photography is that it teaches you that if you change your perspective or lens then everything looks completely different. It’s not that hard to say to yourself, “I wonder what this object looks like from over there, with a macro, different lighting and new angle.” Why is it then, that we understand this idea so well when it comes to 3D objects but we somehow refuse to see that there are other perspectives when examining more complex ideas like politics, religious beliefs, values and cultural differences? If you’re a gamer, it would be like spawning into a game and choosing not to explore the map, staying in one place the entire time, while telling your virtual teammates “I’m not moving, I’ve won the game.” Where would the fun be in that? How long do you think you’d last in that game if you don’t move or adapt? Realizing that you’re only seeing from one mental geographic spot on the map of humanity with a single lens from that vantage point is a game changer. Most of the time, the place that you’re viewing from is the same exact location your parents or peers made their stand as well, so your perspective isn’t even your own. I challenge you today to be a perspective explorer in your life. Choose to adapt and evolve. Really ask yourself, “what does this idea look like from their placement on the map?” “Why is there such a disconnect between my lens / placement and theirs? What am I missing here?” Get curious. Try seeing the beauty they’re seeing from their lens. Take time to see how the lighting may not be as nice in their quadrant of the map. It’s also important to take time while you’re over there exploring their vantage point to look back to see where you came from as well. Evaluate how your ideas look from this side of the valley. Then choose to explore new ideas and perspectives. Your future self will thank you. Quote and photo by Shannon K. Man this made my day! This is the best compliment I can get as an artist honestly! & I hope other artists value & see that One can be technically great, you can work towards getting better in that aspect w/ time & effort. But being unique & recognizable isn't something that is taught. It's a personal journey that has nothing to do with how technically good you are! Knowledge & techniques are tools to help empower you to find your voice. As you learn, you figure out what you can ignore & what you vibe with to tell your story. What rules you can bend or break. There are millions of photogs more talented than I. More technically knowledgeable. Produce more technically aesthetic images. But what's the point if someone can't tell your work apart from someone else’s? More than anything though, I hope that my art helps tell the stories of others, of all people. I hope it shows that everyone is beautiful, everyone is aesthetic, everyone is photogenic. You just needed help to see it And if I can help show you that, Im the happiest photog alive.

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭 🎨✨ Have you ever marveled at a drawing on paper that seemed to jump right off the page? This fascinating phenomenon, where flat images appear three-dimensional, is a brilliant exploration of the illusion of visual perception. It challenges our understanding of depth and perspective, playing tricks on our minds and captivating our imagination. Artists harness this power through techniques like shading, perspective drawing, and the clever use of lines to create drawings that deceive our eyes into seeing depth where there is none. This technique isn't just a testament to the skill of the artist; it also provides insights into the complex ways our brains interpret visual cues. The beauty of these optical illusions lies in their ability to make us question reality, pushing the boundaries of visual perception. It's a reminder of how art isn't just seen but experienced, pulling viewers into a dialogue with the artwork itself. Join the conversation and experience the magic of visual illusion in art. How does it change your perception of the artistic process and the power of visual communication? 😉 #VisualIllusion #ArtPerception #OpticalIllusions

•Simulation Theory• This piece is inspired by an album called "Simulation Theory" by Muse. The story revolves around the protagonist realizing he is living in a simulation, and he reaches consciousness. Upon discovering he resides within a simulated realm orchestrated by his creator, this intelligence, whether human or artificial, experiences a profound sense of betrayal and confinement. He embarks on a journey to break free from this unjust reality. "Burn like a slave Churn like a cog We are caged in simulations Algorithms evolve Push us aside and render us obsolete This means war With your creator." - #illustration #digitalillustration #illustrator #illustrationart #digitalart #art #albumart #digitalpainting

Over the last decade, I've developed a metacognitive artistic process, crafting digital mind files documenting my journey. This digital one-man show displays a puzzle of the iconography of my existence. With each new iteration of digital graffiti, I create, I catalog and rebuild my mind from the shattered pieces of a deprecated code, remnants left from the shadows of a previous existence. As the specter of old age looms, gradually casting its shadow over the present moment, the pursuit becomes imperative and centers on crafting a process that keeps the mind immersed in a symphony of thought and creation. This goal extends beyond the realm of artists; it is a universal aspiration for every human navigating the journey through the later years of life. Whether through the medium of diaries or the engagement in puzzle games, we all embark on a personalized buffet of processes, all converging toward the common outcome: maintaining a conducive fluidity of the mind as we gracefully enter our senior years. Throughout the decades, I have intricately woven together the threads of my origin tale and life's trajectory, fashioning a digital puzzle that embodies the iconography of my unique journey. With each passing day, I embark on a profound exploration, meticulously rearranging the fragments of my digital mind and experiences, sculpting them into new compositions that serve as an ever-evolving exhibition of my innermost thoughts and reflections—a vivid portrayal of my life's odyssey. It is a cacophony of music, prose, and storytelling that reimagines my life’s journey in digital storyboards. The panels and videos I present encapsulate the world of artistry that has consumed my life. Through original content and curated pieces From the gristmill of our shared experiences, my storyboards represent my character and creativity as a creator, a cognitive dance of healing for my mind as the years keep marching toward the final curtain call. Welcome to MY MIND. I create memories that define my legacy as we dance together as a species on the precipice of THE LAST ZEITGEIST. https://lnkd.in/eKZsda7C #storyteller #DETROIT #rants #comedian #ridingandranting #detroitriverwalk #truth #yourtruth
