𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭 🎨✨ Have you ever marveled at a drawing on paper that seemed to jump right off the page? This fascinating phenomenon, where flat images appear three-dimensional, is a brilliant exploration of the illusion of visual perception. It challenges our understanding of depth and perspective, playing tricks on our minds and captivating our imagination. Artists harness this power through techniques like shading, perspective drawing, and the clever use of lines to create drawings that deceive our eyes into seeing depth where there is none. This technique isn't just a testament to the skill of the artist; it also provides insights into the complex ways our brains interpret visual cues. The beauty of these optical illusions lies in their ability to make us question reality, pushing the boundaries of visual perception. It's a reminder of how art isn't just seen but experienced, pulling viewers into a dialogue with the artwork itself. Join the conversation and experience the magic of visual illusion in art. How does it change your perception of the artistic process and the power of visual communication? 😉 #VisualIllusion #ArtPerception #OpticalIllusions

This very well crafted illusion is credited to Japanese artist Jagarikin. Although the sense of rotation is very strong, they are static, but the movement is not related to the arrow cues. The video makes clever use of the Reverse Phi illusion involving bistable perception with flickering and contrasting colors, which also works with negatives of photos. The concept was first published in 1970 by vision scientist S.M. Anstis (linkin comments). Here there is extra visual bias with the cube frames being given shadow and lighting effects across black, grey scale and white. The perceived direction of motion depends on the sequence of the images and the subtle shadowing effects, which is slightly different for each cube. Though there may also be other factors at play. What's impressive here is that the illusion still holds perfectly when seeing two cubes move in opposite direction (kind of perceptual multitasking). It is a nice example of how our visual brains make use of light and color to efficiently extrapolate motion, another method of this here: https://lnkd.in/dqGB6xsx Cheers to Olga G. for sharing on LinkedIn, and thanks Devon White for the post tag 👍 #Perception #Motion #Illusion

🌊 The State of FLOW 🌊 Recently, I came across this topic/state of human consciousness/condition called 'Flow.' **So, what is this flow?** Well, in short, In Gen Z words, it is **'locking in'** 🎯 Flow is when you have this hyperfocus on whatever task you're doing or handling or just another Tuesday. 🧠✨ This tactic is widely used by most of the successful people in a variety of fields. Here are some of the most well-known people and their fields: 1. **🏀 Athletes:** - **Michael Jordan**: Known for his incredible focus and ability to perform under pressure, often described as being in a state of flow during games. 🏆 - **Serena Williams**: Her intense concentration and presence on the court are prime examples of the flow state in sports. 🎾 2. **🎨 Artists:** - **Pablo Picasso**: His immersive approach to painting, where he would lose track of time, exemplifies the flow state in visual arts. 🖌️ - **Jackson Pollock**: Known for his drip painting technique, Pollock would often enter a flow state while working on his large-scale abstract pieces. 🎨 So, the million-dollar question is, **"How do you achieve flow?"** P.S. I made this Mo-graph to illustrate flow. 🎥✨ #flow #humanmind #artist #mograph #aftereffects #motiongraphic #stateofmind #kobebryant

1742 IMPRESSIONISM to EXPRESSIONISM -Gautam Shah https://lnkd.in/dY9j7674 The art form, impressionism and expressionism, both had the mooring to the emotions. But former, used abstracted colours for emotional representation, whereas, the later, began to exploit the form of objects. These were like the human body (posture, gesture, eyes, shape, size), built-forms (scale, depth, distortions, textures, colours), trees, (making them look like a human body) and insertion of realistic forms (to mark the presence of alter-ego, death, after-life or absentee self).

Top Tips to get you going as an artist! Embrace the Creative Ritual Establish a consistent routine and dedicate specific times for your creative practice. By treating your art like an appointment, you're more likely to show up and engage with it, even on days when inspiration feels elusive. Consistency breeds familiarity, and familiarity can often ignite the spark you need to overcome creative blocks. Seek Inspiration in the Unexpected When you feel stuck, step away from your usual creative space and immerse yourself in new environments or experiences. Visit a museum, attend a live performance, or explore a neighbourhood you've never been to before. These fresh perspectives can stimulate your senses and ignite new ideas, helping you break free from creative stagnation. Embrace Imperfection and Play Sometimes, the pressure to create something perfect can be paralysing. Instead, approach your art with a sense of playfulness and curiosity. Experiment with new techniques, materials, or styles without the expectation of producing a masterpiece. This freedom to explore and make "mistakes" can often lead to unexpected breakthroughs and reignite your creative spark. #lindseymcalister #lindseymcalisterart https://lnkd.in/gF_8dXkK

Q: What is Multi-Perspective Art? How can you draw several points of view at the same moment? A: Well, it is possible. And you don't need a sophisticated image processing software. Just enter the genius mind of the painter Pablo Picasso and look through his eyes: choose to paint reality from different directions in the same painting. Inspired by him, we open up to see the world with fresh eyes, connect to multiple perspectives, and develop unconventional thinking. #creativethinking #PabloPicasso #art #MelbourneArt #MelbourneCreatives #multiperspectiveart #DyaAustralia™

Art is the soul’s expression, a visual language that conveys emotions, ideas, and experiences. It transcends words, allowing the subconscious to speak through color, form, and texture. An artist is a translator of inner worlds, transforming thoughts into tangible creations. They explore the psyche, uncovering layers of human experience, while inviting others to connect, reflect, and discover meaning within the art. Through this creative process, both artist and viewer embark on a journey of self-awareness and emotional depth.

"Art from the heart, each stroke plays its part." Art isn’t just about the final image—it’s a language of the soul, where emotions take form through every brushstroke. It’s how we process our inner world, connect with others, and express what words can’t capture.
