And let me tell you, it's not just me saying this – the numbers speak for themselves!   According to Carta's findings, the funding landscape for climate tech startups is looking robust and promising in 2024. This reaffirms our collective belief that addressing climate change requires innovative solutions, and investors are increasingly recognizing the potential of climate tech ventures to make a meaningful impact 🍀   But here's the really exciting part – I recently had the opportunity to participate in a session where I could directly engage with Peter from Carta. During this session, I had the privilege of delving deeper into the nuances of funding traction towards climate tech startups in 2024 and understanding how it's evolving.   Being able to ask pertinent questions and gain insights from industry experts like Peter has been invaluable. Around half of the money coming into round A+ funding in European climate tech companies, originates from the US. There’s a funding gap. The weather couldn't have been better, and the power of the wind provided good momentum for Simen's eco-friendly journey over the mountains from Finse to Hemsedal. Crossing the valley of death for climate tech innovations: That was the title of the panel discussion Nysnø's Simen Malmin participated in during this year's Startup Extreme. To achieve the climate targets by 2030 and move towards a zero-emission society by 2050, we need to bridge the gap between early innovation and commercial scaling of climate technology companies.
