Many car manufacturers have shifted their focus back to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles due to stagnant or declining electric vehicle (EV) sales and increased competition from Chinese companies. Companies such as GM, VW, Stellantis, and Mercedes-Benz have increased their investments in ICE technology while slowing down EV production.
