Why are registered apprenticeships the future of workforce development? These programs combine structured learning with hands-on experience, allowing participants to earn while they learn. At the Pennsylvania Apprenticeship Conference, EIEI highlighted its new apprenticeship for Special Education Paraprofessionals. This program opens doors to Child Development Programs and Educational Support for Children with Disabilities, creating a pathway to meaningful careers. 🔗 Read about this initiative and its impact: https://lnkd.in/eguJbfUF #learntoearn #earlyinterventionservices #workforcedevelopment #careerpathways #childcaresupport #earlyintervention #specialeducation #teacherresources #familyempowerment #earlylearning #specialneedschildren #childdevelopmentprograms #parentingtips #earlyinterventionworks #inclusiveeducation #earlyintervention #specialeducation #diverseabilities #childdevelopment #eceprograms #eieiservices #brighterfutures #empoweringfamilies #supportingeducators #education #autismeducation #specialneedschildren #educatingchildren

This is an excellent example of how Registered Apprenticeship open doors. Many disabled individuals have been discouraged along the way. Perhaps the expectations of having access to training and experience has gotten in their way of employment opportunities. Registered Apprenticeships can be structured from the ground up. Creating an opportunity for missing skills to be learned and a more financially viable future.

Virtual Learning Academy Announces Rebrand In keeping with the company’s vision of breaking down the barriers of learning for businesses throughout the Highlands. The Virtual Learning Academy who has been serving the community for over a decade has made the exciting decision to rebrand itself as the Highland Learning Academy. The need for a more Highland centric persona is close to the heart to the company’s founder and CEO Cath Sutherland “I think sometimes the fact that we are a Scottish business based in the Highlands was being lost. It’s an important part of who we are, which is why we decided it was time to change.” The VLA or HLA as it will now be known provide a wide range of qualifications for candidates in the workplace or at school from their base of operations in Inverness. Modern Apprenticeships that allow candidates to earn while they learn in a large array of careers including Management, Digital Technologies and Logistics. Foundation Apprenticeships which allow fifth- and sixth-year students to gain valuable career experience while gaining a higher-level qualification. Another feather in HLA’s proverbial cap is that they are also the highlands only AAT test centre for accountancy exams which are sat at their offices in the Green House in Inverness. Exam booking and more information about courses and the company will be available on their new web site ww.hla.scot which will be launched to coincide with the name change. A rebrand to embrace their location, culture and identity while continuing to break down the barriers of learning and making accessible learning available to all couldn’t come at a better time. There are bright things ahead for this established Highland company particularly at a time of economic growth due to the Inverness and Cromarty Free Green Freeport activity. #ScottishVocationalQualifications #SVQ #EducationScotland #SkillsDevelopmentScotland #VocationalTraining #CareerDevelopment #ScotlandEducation #LearningInScotland #QualificationsScotland #ScottishQualifications Inverness Chamber of Commerce #traininginthehighlands #highlandbusiness

I am thrilled to share with you the incredible impact of the ECE REACH Apprenticeship Program in the San Francisco Bay Area, a groundbreaking initiative between Felton Institute, Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), Foothill College and EDvance College. “ECE REACH: Empowering Dreams, Transforming Communities" This program embodies hope, opportunity, and empowerment, offering a vibrant ecosystem where new and incumbent members of the Felton Institute ECE workforce, alongside pregnant and parenting individuals, come together to pursue their aspirations. Key Highlights: - Addressing a crucial shortage of early childhood educators. - Fostering cultural and linguistic representation in the workforce. - Promoting a two-generational approach to uplift families. - Elevating women and advancing economic mobility. - Nurturing careers and fostering leadership in the ECE sector. Our successful outcomes during the pilot year [2023] of the pre-apprenticeship [new to the workforce] have led to additional funding opportunities to expand the program to run our apprenticeship for our existing workforce working towards obtaining a BA degree. Thanks to the support from the San Francisco Department of Early Childhood and other private foundations. Together, with unwavering support, we're not just realizing employment and degree attainment; we're creating hope. Teaching is Nurturing Young Minds! As I gaze on the little nest of baby robins living in my shed, I can’t help but be reminded of the profound impact teaching has on nurturing young minds, much like caring for baby birds in a nest. 🐣 Nurturing Curiosity: Just as a Mummy bird encourages her babies to spread their wings and explore the world around them, teaching is about fostering curiosity and igniting a passion for discovery in our learners. 🍃 Fostering Growth: Like a nest that provides a safe haven for baby birds to grow and flourish, the classroom is a nurturing environment, where learners are encouraged to stretch their wings and reach for the sky. 🌟 Celebrating Progress: Just as we rejoice in the first flutters of a baby bird learning to fly, teaching is about celebrating every milestone, big or small, in our learners’ journey of growth. From mastering a difficult concept to overcoming challenges, each step forward is a cause for celebration and a testament to the power of perseverance and determination. 🐦 As we nestle into the season of new beginnings, I invite you to join us in embracing the joy of teaching and the transformative impact it has on shaping future generations.
