CHF 150,000 to disrupt aquafarming: KIDEMIS wins final stage of Venture Kick. Congratulations to the team of entrepreneurs Constantin Marakhov, Sean Wassermann, and John E.! https://lnkd.in/eJXzpSq4 About: Aquaculture is growing at substantial rates mainly due to ocean depletion and changes from meat to a healthier diet. However, the aquafeed supply is under pressure and is in search of sustainable solutions. Meanwhile, agricultural sidestreams accumulate or end up in landfills. That’s where Kidemis swings into action, by offering a proprietary fermentation tech to convert these sidestreams into affordable and high-quality nutrition for feed or food. #VentureKick #SwissStartups

The private offer period has closed now and it was fantastic! Only 48 hours and our early and very enthusiastic investors got us to 100% of our first big goal --and now it's time to make the opportunity public. Make a difference in the fight against food waste by investing in a purpose-driven business with a tractor load of opportunity for growth. Your chance to become a shareholder in Good & Fugly has arrived! The private offer period saw amazing momentum. And because every $1,000 raised meant 5 boxes of fruit and veg to disadvantaged schools, 500 boxes will now be heading out the Good & Fugly warehouse door to our food insecure kids. But your investment means a lot more both for you and the future of our business and its potential for making a real difference. By becoming a shareholder in Good & Fugly, you will amplify our impact by helping to: - accelerate our national growth to reach more people and help more farmers - extend our reach into more businesses - grow “beyond the box” with higher-margin products By investing now you will be instrumental in building on our impressive commercial growth to date while delivering on our promise of helping you, our planet and our farmers. Sound good? Simply click on the link below to log into Birchal, and follow the prompts to read the CSF offer document and complete your application for shares in our company. https://lnkd.in/dhQPSE3i Always consider the general CSF risk warning and offer document before investing Leila Oliveira Emily Macfarlane Saveful Nutrition Australia Crowdfund Insider

It's taken me six months to write this post. Earlier this year my first baby Coconut Bowls, which I started back in 2016, was acquired by a Private Equity company (more on this soon). After eight years, I've taken time offline and have been enjoying some precious time with my young family. This journey started with a simple idea, to turn waste coconut shells into something meaningful... little did I know that these little bowls would end up changing my life. Here are some of the milestones and memories I’m most proud of: - Over $20 million in revenue - More than 200,000 customers from 180+ countries - B Corp certified - $100,000 donated to environmental charities - Built incredible relationships with our artisan workshop suppliers - And, of course, that time I meditated on Shark Tank 😂 Coconut Bowls has proven that profit with purpose is a powerful business model, reaffirming my belief that businesses that win for everyone - customers, employees, communities, and the planet - are the ones that will succeed in the future. Thank you so much to every customer, partner, team member and mentor who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life. And to my family and friends, who have always supported and encouraged me to take a swing - thank you! After four or five attempts at entrepreneurship before Coconut Bowls, it might have looked like an overnight success to some. The truth is, many things went right, great timing, a bit of luck, but it was the lessons from those earlier businesses that truly set me up for this success. I'll be sharing more of the journey over the coming weeks and months.

Is Sizzle sizzling? Two years ago, I stepped away from leading Hubbub an award winning charity I founded to start again creating a new social enterprise. Here are my reflections on how things are going including what I am enjoying, what I miss and what it may mean for others thinking of plunging into the unknown. I hope you find it useful #startup #socialenterprise #sustainability https://lnkd.in/eVTMttik

This story of Country Delight is a great lesson to understand how to time the fund raise. See this: -Founders did not have any background of cattle farming - Learnt the game, achieved PMF staying bootstrapped with INR 1cr as capital - Kept iterating and improving till they found customers are happy and business is scalable - Raised funds after 6 years of starting up to fuel growth with a playbook in hand - Grew almost 3X every year from there as they shifted gears on their 0-1 to 1-10 journey -Once raised funds, came out of bootstrapped mindset to invest in growth and became a soonicorn ($820 M) It was great writing this story with A Junior VC team and I myself learnt how raising funds post PMF/concept validation is the best thing a founder can do.
