I am very delighted to share that our research work on Hypervalent Iodine-based Macrocycles(HIMs) has been published in ACS, Journal of Organic Chemistry. In this work, we have demonstrated the dynamic nature of bonding in Hypervalent Iodine Macrocycles by investigating the methods to disassemble and reassemble the supramolecular structures through the addition and removal of anions such as chloride, bromide, fluoride, and cyanide. We have also probed the dynamic nature of macrocycles in solution even in the absence of anions through heterogenous mixing of two different macrocycles based on secondary bonding whereby monomers of macrocycles are free to mix with neighboring macrocycles leading to the formation of shuffled macrocycles. Furthermore, we have also explored the synthesis, crystallographic structure, kinetics, and unique reversibility of these HIMs system. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my supervisor Professor Kyle and everyone for their heavy contributions. https://lnkd.in/ecyp9q6n

Excited to share that the very first paper of my PhD journey has just been published in Angewandte Chemie IE! Grateful for the invaluable guidance and support from my colleague Dr. Nikolaos Kaplaneris and my supervisor Prof. Timothy Noel throughout the journey. Looking forward to reaching more milestones together! 🎉 #PhD #AngewandteChemie #peptides #flowchemistry
Great start of the week: our work on the photocatalytic hydroarylation of dehydroalanine-containing peptides with arylthianthrenium salts is now accepted Angewandte Chemie. Congratulations to: Nikolaos Kaplaneris, Merve Akdeniz, Méritxell Fillols, Francesca Arrighi, Fabian Raymenants, Gana Sanil, Daniel Gryko and Timothy Noel #flowchemistry #photocatalysis You can read it at: https://lnkd.in/diJ_qXmU

A very interesting paper (may more suitble for Friday 😅 ) from Prof. Pukala and others. Using top-down method to analysis snack venom proteofrom. To increse sequence coverage, they used MSE and target CID (on Xevo GS XS), CID, ECD, ion moblity seperatoin and post-cIM CID (on SELECT SERIES cIM ToF). I can expect that ECD is helpful to increase coverage, but post-cIM CID can also help is a suprise~.
