What does being a content creator and working the grill at a restaurant have in common? As marketers and content creators, we’re often obligated to ship our outputs quickly - move on to the next piece and keep the process flowing. I spoke to J.C. (Chris) Hutchins of 6sense about this in the latest episode of The Content 10x Podcast. This was his analogy and I could totally relate! (If you have seen my latest keynote and webinar it was all about cooking content in a content kitchen!) Ever feel like you’re on the grill in a busy diner? How do you work in the time to create different types of content, mix things up and find new ways of creating content that generates a different type of value from the regular burger and fries?! 🍔 Chris shared some great insights into this dilemma on The Content 10x Podcast. Be sure to check it out. #contentstrategy #contentrepurposing #b2bmarketing

What does a Mushroom Risotto have to do with Organizational Podcast Strategy? What are the objectives? What's the USP? What are the metrics for success? - Qualitative/ Quantitative! The mushroom risotto is cooked, slowly. Low heat, longer cooking time. Much like the organizational podcast. Slow, steady, quality-focussed content. A little playful spirit with flavours for the risotto ; and for styles and formats with the podcast would never hurt, though :) How are you cooking yours? (Both the risotto & the podcast; do tell) #podcast #contentmarketing #b2bpodcast

We’ve been watching Top Chef (all the way through) for the first time. Let’s compare to podcasting. 😎 What stands out to me: 1. How many chefs there are and the number of specialties they have to offer. ✨ This really encourages me when I recognize how many B2B podcasts are out there. So? Everyone has a different flavor and flair. We should lean into ours. 2. How a great Chef stands behind their food no matter what. Even if there are flaws. ✨ A great podcaster can stand behind their work, even if there are flaws. Everyone is learning and getting better. 3. Whenever a Chef gets immunity from the quick fire challenge, they feel freedom to experiment within the elimination challenge. ✨ As podcasters, we actually can feel that freedom from Day 1. The more experimenting the better, I think, because again, that’ll help figure out voice, POV, and help us find our people faster. Overall, I think it’s about finding our people. Not necessarily about standing out to become a household name. 😉 #topchef #podcasting #branding

We believe you shouldn't cheap out on the podcast ingredients. You wouldn’t make soup with moldy vegetables, would you? So why would you create a podcast with lame storytelling or bad sound? A great podcast starts with quality ingredients. Invest in top-notch storytelling, crisp audio, and content that leaves your audience coming back for more. Because, let’s face it—nobody’s coming back for a second helping of a bland, poorly made podcast. We believe in using only the freshest, finest ingredients to craft podcasts that are not only delicious but also deliver real results. So, next time you’re cooking up a podcast for your brand, remember: No one wants to sip on mediocrity. Go for gourmet.

Before I started @The Change Starter, I had the chance to work with the marketing teams of some major brands. I witnessed firsthand how traditional marketing has transitioned into the digital age, sometimes referred to as 'Tradigital Marketing.' As someone who’s both a marketer and a business owner, I always find it fascinating to see how marketing strategies have evolved over time. ⌛ One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed is the level of engagement and interaction with the audience. Traditional marketing is usually a one-way street, but digital marketing opens the door for a two-way conversation, 🤝 allowing your audience to actively engage with you and broaden your perspective. 💬 That’s why I always emphasise the importance of content. ✍️ It builds trust and establishes your brand’s authority in the industry, becoming the backbone of your digital strategy. If this topic interests you, check out my appearance on the Up My Influence podcast, 'Thoughtful Entrepreneur', hosted by @Josh Elledge to hear more from me and learn about #Marketing and business from some other thoughtful entrepreneurs! 👉
In this podcast episode of 'Why Your Marketing Strategy Needs a Makeover' hosted by Josh Elledge, Stevie explains how content is the secret ingredient to a winning marketing recipe. She also highlights that businesses shouldn't forget about the power of organic content to keep their marketing strategy thriving. ✨ Listen to the full podcast episode now!
