Last week was HUGE! 🙌 I’m so proud to have been part of an unforgettable day with the Youth Sport Trust, championing movement, young people’s stories, and inspiring voices to drive change. World Children’s Day started with a call for change. Sir Mo Farah CBE joined forces with sporting greats—including Hannah Cockroft, Adam Peaty, and Keely Hodgkinson—to deliver a letter to government calling for a national plan to ensure every child has the opportunity to be physically active every day. (He even ran to the door! 🏃 ) It was amazing to play a part in this big moment, amplifying a message that truly matters. We then launched the powerful Healthy Movers campaign and film. The film highlights a stark reality: fewer than one in five children (aged 0–5) in the UK are moving enough to stay healthy. Inactivity at such a young age can have lasting effects on brain development, physical health, and emotional wellbeing. Seeing the message already resonate has been incredible - have you watched it yet? https://lnkd.in/eB29YmKr The day ended in the best way—I’m still on a high from it all! We hosted our Young Changemaker Awards 2024, sponsored by the the LEGO Group. From shaping and developing their impactful stories to working with fantastic colleagues at Youth Sport Trust, networks, and athletes, it’s moments like these and a huge team effort that make this role so rewarding. The young people and athletes were SO inspiring. I loved being part of bringing their stories to life and seeing them celebrated on stage. You can watch all their videos here: https://lnkd.in/edZ9z8rQ This is exactly why I wanted to work in the charity space. 💛
You smashed it Amy, incredible campaign and helped us be a trailblazer for the first campaign of its kind focused on inactivity and unhealthy childhoods in the early years. So proud of what Youth Sport Trust achieved last week!
Amazing Amy Dunne, congratulations ❤️
Thank you Amy for being such a big part of making Wednesday the success that it was! ❤️
