🌟 It's Learning at Work Week! 🌟 This year's theme is 'Learning Power' and is all about giving the people that work for your organisation the encouragement they need to grow. Workplace training is not just about enhancing skills; it's about creating a culture of learning, transforming the workplace environment into one of innovation and growth. Why Learning at Work matters: 📈 Promotes a learning culture: Creates an environment of skills sharing and one where continuous improvement is valued. 💡 Enhances skills: Offering a range of activities encourages staff to develop not only professionally but also personally. 🚀 Boosts engagement and retention: Progression and learning opportunities are one of the first things prospective employees look at when seeking a new role. Offering workplace training, employees feel valued and are more likely to contribute creatively when their growth is supported. 🌐 Encourages innovation: New skills lead to new ideas, pushing our company forward. How to make the most of it: ✅ Offer events that highlight learning in your organisation and internal progression routes. ✅ Promote opportunities for staff to share their skills and learn from others. Hold a networking event, open days or create posters highlighting the upskilling opportunities in your organisation. ✅ Encourage professional goal setting and soft skill development. Some organisations maybe able to develop their own internal mentorships scheme. ✅ Encourage and support your team to join in. Let's use Learning at Work Week as a launchpad for year-round development. Engage, learn, and innovate. #LearningAtWorkWeek #ProfessionalDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement #Innovation #CareerGrowth

Congratulation on the Indigenous @ Workday: 2024 Signature Event! In our ever-evolving workplace and every Workday, building bridges between communities is more important than ever. But what does truth and reconciliation look like in action? How can we as individuals and organizations foster real connections and create opportunities for Indigenous talent and communities? In our Indigenous @ Workday: 2024 Signature Event, we explored these critical questions. Hosted by the Indigenous at Workday EBC (Employee Belonging Council), this webinar brought together inspiring voices, including Patrick Hadley, Dee Platero, Mike Quinn, Alicia Taylor, Denis Carignan (President & Co-Founder, Plato Testing), Mike Sanders, Luke Gregoire, Sachen Macdonald, Tom Myer, Bing Wu and more. Together, we discussed truth, reconciliation, allyship, and the impact of Indigenous issues on the technology industry. I am very proud to be part of it. Key takeaways we learned: - Actionable Commitment & Building Bridges: Programs like the Indigenous Internship Program and the Global Reconciliation Action Plan are driving real opportunities, fostering connections, and creating pathways for inclusion. - Amplifying Indigenous Voices: Events like Orange Shirt Day and open discussions help build bridges, strengthen allyship, and bring Indigenous perspectives to the forefront. A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful conversation. This is just the beginning—we’re actively advocating for programs that strengthen connections with indigenous talent and seeking partnerships to expand our efforts. Let’s continue building bridges and shaping a future rooted in respect, connection, and shared growth. #TruthAndReconciliation #BuildingBridges #IndigenousAtWorkday #WorkdayEBC #DiversityAndInclusion

🎓 Day 2 of Learning at Work Week! Today we wanted to share our #employeerecognition infographic. It's important to remember that our employees are all individuals. Some will love the limelight of formal award ceremonies and employee of the month celebrations. Other, more introverted colleagues might just prefer a quiet well done or personalised thank you note. ❓How do you want to be recognised? Don't forget, you can find hundreds more resources like this one on our 𝗣𝗮𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆! #learningatworkweek #employeerecognition #humanresources #employeedevelopment
