North America led the market with a 31.57% share in 2023. Aero wings, which are advanced fins designed to generate lift through aerodynamic forces, are driving market growth due to rising demand for outsourced manufacturing and increased use of composite materials in general aviation. While the market benefits from the growing need for cost-efficient aero wings, high installation costs pose a challenge to its expansion. Among various #OEMs establishing base in #India, Pratt & Whitney has joined the list with the opening of its latest India Digital Capability Center (#IDCC) #research and #development centre in Bengaluru, co-located with its #engineering and #supplychain operations centres. Is this paving the way for Pratt & Whitney to establish an #engineMRO in India? Over 160 aircraft are currently #grounded at various airports in India, with Delhi International Airport Ltd having the most #parkedplanes. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) and GO FIRST have the highest number of #groundedaircraft, but other #airlines also have inactive planes. This is raising #eyebrows and is a major cause of #concern for various #aviationstakeholders. As the demand rises, grounding of planes due to #engineissues and lack of #spares is drawing DGCA India ire too. The regulators have already asked Pratt & Whitney to establish an #MRO in India. Is it only a matter of time before Pratt & Whitney breaks ground on new MRO in India? or otherwise. It's a #wait & #watch!
