The tragic reality of a toxic work environment is often overlooked, but it can have devastating consequences. Stress, burnout, and constant pressure can push employees to their breaking point, sometimes with irreversible outcomes like suicide. It's time we recognize that mental well-being is just as important as productivity. A healthy workplace is one where employees feel valued, supported, and respected—not overwhelmed or diminished. Employers must prioritize creating an environment that fosters growth, balance, and mental health. A paycheck means nothing if it costs someone their peace of mind—or worse, their life. Let's commit to building workplaces that support, not destroy. Let's listen, let's care. 🌱💼 #MentalHealthMatters #EndWorkplaceToxicity #HealthyWorkEnvironment #WorkLifeBalance #SupportEmployees #EmployeeWellbeing #NoMoreStress #WorkplaceCulture #EndBurnout #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma

Here’s a surprising statistic: Work-related mental health issues make up over half of all long-term sick leave in the UK, with around 51% due to stress, anxiety, or depression. Additionally, 55% of UK workers report that work is getting more demanding, and 61% feel consistently exhausted by the end of their day. These pressures not only impact individual health but also productivity and morale across teams. This is where Robertson Cooper’s Good Days at Work framework comes in. By focusing on core elements like balanced workloads, effective communication, and positive team culture, we help organisations reduce the risks of burnout and long-term mental health issues. Our approach doesn’t just mitigate the negatives; it proactively builds a healthier, more resilient workplace environment where teams are set up to thrive. Where does your organisation stand on employee mental health? Please message me to discuss further. #mentalhealthatwork #gooddaysatwork #employeewellbeing

Working in a toxic environment can wreak havoc on our mental wellbeing, confidence, and self-worth. I've lived through the detrimental effects a negative workplace can have on an individual’s overall health and happiness. Chronic stress from a toxic workplace doesn't just stay at work—it follows you home, affecting your personal life and relationships, creating a vicious cycle that's hard to break. A toxic environment constantly undermines your self-esteem. When faced with continuous negativity, it’s easy to start doubting your abilities. Mental health is affected. Your job can become closely tied to your identity and self-worth, which in a toxic environment, can be damaging. Recognising the impact is the first step towards reclaiming your mental wellbeing and self-worth. Remember, no job is worth sacrificing your mental health and self-worth. Take proactive steps to address the toxicity. You deserve to work in an environment that supports your growth and wellbeing. Mental illness can significantly affect a person's daily life, affecting their relationships, work performance, and overall wellbeing. The impact on work performance depends on the illness's nature, severity, and management. Some common impacts include decreased productivity, increased absenteeism, strained workplace relationships, diminished job satisfaction, and difficulty handling stress. Employees might need specific accommodations to perform effectively, including flexible hours, adjusted responsibilities, or access to mental health resources. While stigma and privacy fears can complicate disclosure, establishing a supportive work environment and providing mental health resources are essential for minimising these impacts. By promoting mental health and cultivating an inclusive workplace culture, organisations can enhance both employee wellbeing and work performance. https://lnkd.in/g29-4-8z #perthcounselling #onlinecounselling #counselling #counsellor #anxiety #depression #empathy #empowerment #mentalhealth #mentalhealtawareness #motivation #personalgrowth #resilience #respect #selfawareness #selfcare #strengths #stress #support #therapy #trauma #wellbeing #wellness
