The rise in property registrations during Navratri reflects the continued strength of Mumbai’s real estate market. The 13.2% year-on-year increase, contributing ₹502 crore to the state exchequer, highlights the impact of cultural and economic factors on buyer sentiment. Festive periods like Navratri are always pivotal for the sector, and this surge, supported by stable interest rates and growing demand for premium properties, signals strong momentum heading into Diwali. As demand for quality living spaces remains high, the real estate industry continues to be a key driver of urban growth. When I began exploring a career switch from architect- a designer to a management role, real estate was the first sector that captured my attention. It felt like a natural extension of my skills—a field where creativity meets execution on a massive scale. Starting out, I cold-emailed/messaged folks from fractional ownership startups to real estate management service providers and real estate developers, trying to understand how I could contribute to this evolving space, met a few folks and had a few conversations. During this journey, one name kept coming up—Lodha. I knew a few people who worked there and dreamed that maybe it was where I could explore my curiosity about real estate and get a foot in the door. (However, I soon realized, that I wouldn't make the cut as I wasn't from an elite business school or someone with seasoned experience to get the role! A bit naive of me, fresh out of college- but still, I tried!) I was drawn to their projects because of the sheer scale, finesse, and innovation with which they executed iconic developments in Mumbai, as well as the stellar architects and design partners they collaborated with. It wasn’t just about construction—it was about creating aspirational spaces that stood out even in a city with towering giants, the project left me in awe, and I wanted to understand how they were able to pull it off so flawlessly. Tuning into a recent podcast with Abhinandan Lodha was nothing short of enlightening. His business acumen, customer profiling, and focus on creating a strong company culture are what set his brand apart. Listening to him speak about how they take bold risks, profile their customers, and constantly innovate is incredibly inspiring for someone like me, who transitioned into the real estate and startup ecosystem. It reminded me that every great project starts with a bold vision, but it’s the execution that truly makes a difference. 📈 Scaling with Vision: From creating South Bombay’s first-ever sample flat to revolutionizing land buying across India, his bold approach has turned traditional real estate on its head. Through House of Abhinandan Lodha, he's focused on digital-first land ownership—where people buy plots virtually, with complete transparency and trust. This is land ownership for the new generation. Lastly, his passion for redefining India’s urban landscape is also deeply tied to India’s infrastructure story—where underdeveloped areas are being transformed into prime locations, not just for the present but for India’s future economic growth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 🌆 Enjoy every episode by Vishal Bhargava, looking forward to the next! #CareerJourney #RealEstate #ArchitectureToRealEstate #Leadership #Vision #Lodha #PropTech #Innovation #Inspiration
Abhinandan Lodha: This Builder wants you to buy property without even seeing it. Can it work? On the Real Deal, meet one of the two brothers who played a key role in creating India's most famous real estate brand: Lodha. And is today India's second largest real estate company. Thereafter the two brothers separated and Abhinandan Lodha created the entiy HOABL that has disrupted the plotted land business in India. He wants to sell small pieces of land across various parts of India - from Dapoli to Ayodhya to Nagpur. Without even seeing it once. It's got traction in the initial stages as buyers opt for buying land without hassles and title risks, in small ticket sizes that have been as low as INR 10 lakh rupees. Abhinandan recounts his experience doing a business deal with real estate mogul and former US President Donald Trump as well as embarking on big deals in Uttar Pradesh due to the confidence generated by its Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. #abhinandanlodha #realestate #lodha #land #donaldtrump https://lnkd.in/dkTKNfah
