Bright Holidays, Safe Homes: Essential Tips for a Joyous and Secure Season As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to create warm, festive memories while ensuring the safety of your home and loved ones. With fireplaces crackling and holiday decorations lighting up our spaces, taking a few extra precautions can help prevent accidents and keep the season joyous. Here are three essential tips to stay safe with candles this season: 1. Place Candles Securely: Always place candles on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains, holiday decorations, or greenery. 2. Never Leave Unattended: Extinguish candles when leaving a room or before going to bed. Even a small flame can pose a significant risk if left unchecked. 3. Use Alternatives in High-Risk Areas: Consider battery-operated LED candles for areas where traditional candles could be unsafe, especially around pets or children. #HolidayFireSafety #FireplaceSafety #ChristmasTreeSafety #HolidayLightsSafety #FirePreventionTips #SafeHolidays #GreenwichCT #StamfordCT PuroClean of Wilton | Ridgefield PuroClean Stamford Business Network + Alexi Giantomidis Alejandro Restrepo Jennifer Restrepo Draško Šamara Let’s work together to make this season bright, warm, and safe for everyone. Oof, I am feeling the short holiday season crunch this year. This morning, I was reflecting on a New Parent Survival workshop I facilitated a year or so ago - one of the ideas that came up was to skip the Xmas decorating (in the case of a family with a 1 year old who was traveling for the holiday). The mom shared that by giving herself permission to not: 1) pull out the boxes 2) Set up the tree, lights, etc 3) Take everything down & pack it away ...she saved 7 hours! Her family could enjoy others' pretty lights. And now...as I am surrounded by a space for a tree, wreaths on the floor that *should be* hung, and a rather large to-do list of "home stuff" and "work stuff" ....which I recognize are problems of privilege....I could use some help following my own advice! What are other working parents eliminating or streamlining over the next 3 weeks? In my case - my kids are in VERY AWARE phase of holiday celebrations, the next couple weekends are full with travel, family, etc, and we are hosting on the 24th & 25th. I'd prefer to be the General Manager for the holidays instead of the Grinchy Mom. #workingparents #timemanagement #NoMatchingPJsThisYear

Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and daily routines isn't just beneficial for adults—it's equally important for kids. Encouraging them to disconnect from their screens and embrace the outdoors, especially during school holidays, can be a challenge. Tiny home escapes offer the perfect solution. You'll be amazed by how much they relish running around in the wide-open space outdoors, while you enjoy kicking back to the serene sounds of the nature. 🎄✨ One of the underrated perks of being a wheelchair user? Owning the bottom of the Christmas tree when it comes to decorating. While others are busy reaching for the star, I’m making sure the foundation shines. This comic by Mat Barton really resonated with me—it’s a reminder that the holidays (and life in general) aren’t about perfection. They’re about the stories, the memories, and the joy in embracing what makes us unique. As someone who lives with CP, I’ve learned to adapt, innovate, and find beauty in perspectives others might overlook. Whether it’s decorating the bottom half of the tree or navigating challenges at work, creativity and resourcefulness are at the core of everything we do. So as the year wraps up, here’s a thought: What’s one “perfectly imperfect” tradition or lesson that makes your holidays—or your life—special? Share your story in the comments—I’d love to hear it! 🎁 #LeadershipThroughAdaptation #DisabilityInclusion #DiversityMatters #CerebralPalsyAwareness #AccessibleHolidays #PerspectiveShift #PerfectlyImperfect #LinkedInCommunity #InclusiveLeadership #StorytellingInBusiness
