Santa Clara, Calif. /June 20, 2024 /Archer -- Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE: ACHR), a leader in #eVTOL aircraft, today announced its ambitious plan to establish an #airmobility network connecting five strategic locations across the San Francisco Bay Area. This network will include South San Francisco, Napa, San Jose, Oakland, and Livermore, dramatically reducing travel times across the region. In partnership with Kilroy Realty Corporation (NYSE: KRC), a major U.S. landlord and developer, Archer has signed a memorandum of understanding (#MOU) to designate Kilroy Oyster Point—a premier 50-acre waterfront campus in South San Francisco—as a critical hub in this network. The collaboration aims to develop the proposed Sea Portal, a waterfront mobility hub that will support eVTOL aircraft and electric ferry operations powered by renewable energy. Archer’s innovative air mobility network is designed to offer unprecedented connectivity, transforming one-to-two-hour drives into efficient 10-20 minute flights. This initiative will significantly enhance accessibility and convenience for Bay Area residents and visitors, facilitating seamless travel to various destinations around the bay. The MOU will explore the construction of a vertiport at Kilroy Oyster Point, enabling Archer to establish key takeoff and landing sites in South San Francisco and connect with other planned vertiports in Napa, San Jose, Oakland, and Livermore. This development promises to revolutionize urban air mobility, providing efficient access to people, places, and events across the region. Credit: Business Wire
