SLII® teaches us about 3 skills, six conversations, and partnering. These work equally as well with peers as well as with team members and direct reports. They are influencing skills that are not based on position power. That’s why they can be used with direct reports, colleagues, managers, as well as in and outside the work setting, even at home. Three Skills 🌟 1.     Goal Setting  Getting alignment on what needs to be done and by when 2.     Diagnosing Assessing someone’s competency and commitment on a specific goal or task 3.     Matching Providing the appropriate leadership style Six Conversations 👥 1.     Alignment Conversation. Effective Alignment Conversations that run through all the 3 skills and lead to effective and collaborative ongoing conversations. 2.     The Four Style Conversations. These conversations are challenging, particularly if the style you need to use to match the development level is outside of your comfort zone.  3.     One on One Conversation.  Should be scheduled weekly or once every other week to address exactly what the team member would like to discuss. Partnering: 🔗 This means getting your team members agreement and permission to engage in the right conversation and to use the right leadership style at the right time to help them achieve their goals and develop their competence, motivation, and confidence 🌳If you are interested in learning how to inspire your leaders to accelerate development and autonomy, use a common leadership language, enhance performance and achievement, and to improve engagement and retention then please do get in touch for a chat. 💬🤝 #situationalleadership #unleashpotential #leadershipdevelopment

Business Development Manager Cricket

There are quite a few managers out there that could do with that training. Not everyone is a natural leader and knows all the right things to do but with training you can improve as a manager. Surprises me really how many people are made a manager based on their sales performance! That just means they're good at sales but not at management 😁
