The company is expected to create 40 direct new jobs over the next 10 years with an average annual salary of $60,000, while retaining 41 jobs in Orleans Parish. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in 94 indirect new jobs, for a total of 134 potential new jobs in the Southeast Region.  “Six deep draft ports, six Class 1 railroads, seven primary airports and six interstate highways - there is no better place than Louisiana for transportation and logistics companies looking to expand their business,” says LED Secretary Susan B. After hitting Mexico as a Category 2 storm, Beryl has weakened to Category 1 but could strengthen before making landfall.
