Founded and managed a Southern Ohio non-profit group that utilized technology for public safety needs. I developed, complimented and promoted various safety programs that were computer based. Our systems primarily farmed public records data from a wide variety of sources. We also implemented a city wide WiFi system to stream video into police cruisers before 3g/4g came along. They included: Operation-Gotcha - Allowed drivers to lodge complaints about unsafe driving. Our system would then dispatch a postcard to the unsafe drivers address while keeping both parties anonymous. This was designed to help reduce road rage incidents and provide educational safety without the involvement of gov authorities. Thereby saving tax dollars while making our roadway safer. Looks can be deceiving - This program allowed women to pre-screen prospective dates for criminal history. Crime Beacon - This system utilized the "Looks can be deceiving" interface and linked users performing searches to the county fugitive unit. In the event a person searched on someone with an open warrant, the fugitive unit would be notified via text msg based on the severity of the crime. EPWIA - A regional WiFi network designed to break the cycle of poverty by providing internet access to low income individuals. Where the goal was to provide educational resources to break the cycle of crime in communities. This system also carried the payload of encrypted data for public officials and video traffic. The non-profit group was wound down in 2007 due to personal matters that were consuming too much time.
