What do you do if your presentations are filled with complex ideas?
To simplify without losing sophistication, it helps to remember something known as Gall’s Law or Gall’s Principle. Gall observed that complex systems (ideas) that work are built on simple systems (ideas) that work. In other words, at the heart of your incredibly complex idea are likely a few very simple ones. The discipline is to excavate down to those simple ideas underneath everything else, and only add detail or complexity *after* you’ve secured understanding and agreement on the simpler concepts.

I each city, I partnered with DoubleTree Hotels, a few good friends and their favorite charities. Together, we invited consumers to join us to have cocktails for a cause.
50% of ticket sales were donated to each local charity and in many cities the DoubleTree Hotel bar donated between 20% and 50% of the bar tab to the charity too.Other creatorsSee project
