Both the data used to train models and the governance used to ensure they act consistently in accordance with policies, intent and regulatory environments. 2) OPEN provides critical flexability to use the right model - for the right use-cases. 3) ECONOMICS matter - to go from pilot to production requires both a compelling aggregate business case and efficient inferencing unit-costs.

I had a great time speaking at Silicon Valley Leadership Group's Tech & Innovation Summit at the Amazon offices in Palo Alto earlier this month. I shared some of the highlights from Microsoft and LinkedIn’s 2024 Work Trends Index report, which showed how AI is influencing the future of work. My call-to-action slide was a reminder that inaction on the part of leadership isn’t an option. Leaders need to lean into AI to help their organizations best leverage the benefits of AI. The accessibility of AI tools has raised consumer expectations to higher standards. They now demand hyper-personalised experiences that also feel highly conversational. While this creates incredible opportunities for innovation, it also puts immense pressure on enterprises to deliver increasingly sophisticated experiences. But the human element in AI will always remain crucial. The most effective technologies will understand each person’s needs, context, and behaviours, then deliver personalised, accurate, and trusted experiences, while also optimising for business outcomes. I am starting the week inspired after two incredible days in New York at the Google Cloud ISV Forum. The event featured a select audience and highly curated content. Here are some key takeaways from the speakers: ➡ Dai Vu shared insights on the newly released Marketplace Channel Private Offer (MCPO), calling it a game changer. By allowing customers to pay channel partners directly outside of the marketplace, the channel can account for the entire deal amount, not just their margin. I'm excited to see the multiplier effect of MCPO, especially once service bundling becomes possible. ➡ Scott Barneson emphasized that the Google Cloud Marketplace is the preferred go-to-market route for ISVs, highlighting two key levers: PULL: Customer commitments and drawdowns + Marketplace Customer Credit Program (MCCP) Resellers/SIs: enabling customers to purchase through their channels and access end-to-end solutions PUSH: ISV partners: 42% faster deal closure, 35% higher win rate, +32% deal size Google Cloud Sellers: quota attainment and acceleration of first-party service adoption ➡ Stephen Orban underscored the significant opportunity that commit drawdowns represent for ISVs, noting Google Cloud's $72.5B revenue backlog. Additionally, the co-sell Total Addressable Market (TAM) of $176B for cloud-running B2B enterprise software is a substantial opportunity for ISVs to tap into. ➡ Doruk Aytulu shared that despite the challenging macro environment, with two wars on their borders, Europe remains a fertile ground for global ISVs to expand and that his EMEA team prioritizes Marketplace expansion and are closely aligned to support ISVs and boost marketplace adoption. ➡ Michale Clark and Jim Anderson reaffirmed the North America GTM team's unwavering commitment to supporting partners aiming to succeed and differentiate their business with Google Cloud. Lastly, it was great to connect with all the Googlers there including Chelsea Berlucchi (who has been an awesome MC), Pete Henderson, Brian Kane, Jason Lenk, Alex Penn, Jennifer Carbone and spend time with our partners such as the awesome the DoiT team (Steve Mills, Shirley Zhou, Holly Klein) Finally the view from the Google office is gorgeous.
