Let's talk using resources and FTEs wisely. Maybe you're a start-up, PE or VC firm or you've introduced a product or service into the healthcare space. You need to grow, but you require certain talent in specific areas to make that happen. Your investors are always watching and burdening your P&L with more FTE's can be a roll of the dice. What if what you really need is specific talent, for a specific project or timeframe and an FTE is not the answer? How do you make sure you're getting someone with the right experience? Is it interim or project-based? If you're a PE or VC firm, you can't possibly hire FTEs to fill every potential need you may have as you seek investments or perform due diligence on opportunities. In these cases, and others, ProNexus Advisory wants to be your partner. Part of our offering is having elite level talent that we can offer as a service. This TaaS model, is one of the reasons ProNexus Advisory is different from other more traditional healthcare consulting firms. We've curated an incredible team of healthcare professionals and independent consultants all who have great experience in leading, transforming and supporting the healthcare industry from Acute, Post-acute, Ambulatory to HealthTech and Startups. We have a deep bench in areas like Quality, Regulatory, VBC, Pharmacy, Nursing, HR, Leadership Development, Telehealth, Workforce Mgmt. and Joint Commission to name a few. We want to bridge the gap between the larger, inefficient and costly traditional firms you know and the thousands of independents and small boutique firms, you don't. We have creative solutions, tremendous strategic partnerships and a team of experts that want to meet you where you are and help you make the next best decision. You do have a choice now and ProNexus Advisory is a more cost-efficient, effective option for you to consider. https://lnkd.in/gSWFJXB9 Don Rowe Michael Harman, PhD Julian Reeve Marla Weston, PhD, RN, FAAN Rebecca Love RN, MSN, FIEL Russ Tolliver MHA, MBA, LNHA, COTA/L, MMC, CDP Danielle Lord, PhD Ron Stewart Christopher Kodama, MD, MBA John Rodis, MD Ara Balkian, MD, MBA Amir Emamifar, PharmD, MBA Veronica Hooper Annette Kenney Annette Bechtold Maria Granzotti Judi Binderman, MD MBA MHSA Joel Brownell Andrew Slater Gary Anthony Patches (Pace) Seely Douglas Arent Douglas Brown Kevin B. “How to Sell to Health Systems 101” from Out-Of-Pocket is launching again on September 9. Matthew Papagno and I are co-instructing. Do you remember that feeling of euphoria when you booked your first sales meeting with a hospital? You feel like your company is going to takeoff. And that you'll be taking off on NetJets next year. But then you finished the first meeting. Everyone said "great job, we'll come back to you." And then nothing happened. You also may have written emails that said "just bumping this." And then you booked Spirit for your next sales meeting. This course puts an end to that. And if you've never booked a sales meeting with a hospital before...this course means you'll never have a bad first meeting. You will build the exact framework - for your specific product - needed for a killer first sales meeting that results in executed next steps. Have any questions? DM me here. Or visit https://lnkd.in/e-QGD8q5.

Some companies stumble when they grow. They lose sight of their mission or they expand too quickly to maintain the quality of their services. We're taking steps to make sure our focus is always on a true patient-centric approach throughout all facets of our organization. As we expand our footprint, we are creating and maintaining safety and quality programs, support systems and consistency platforms. We want to grow so we can serve more patients who need high-quality emergency care. But we will do it the right way, always keeping patients first. #Growth #Consistency

Preventative scans could revolutionize healthcare. Dissatisfied with sick care, consumers are willing to pay out-of-pocket for proactive solutions. But, experts say full-body MRIs are costly and unnecessary. Leveraging new technology, companies like Q Bio, Ezra, Prenuvo, Forward, and Neko Health are scaling up.

It's a great day at Noom! I'm so happy to announce two new solutions today at the HLTH conference -- each expanding access to GLP-1s. ** Solution 1: Noom Med with SmartRx, in partnership with Waltz Health, drives 4.1x more ROI for employers who seek to cover GLP-1s versus the most common alternative, based on a recent third-party actuarial analysis. ** Solution 2: Noom Weight with GLP-1Rx is a workforce-friendly, budget-conscious solution for employers who do not cover GLP-1s today but would like to provide an effective obesity solution while enabling access to low-cost, non-branded GLP-1s. After spending months and months learning from the market, we have put together two programs that will finally help employers and payers with GLP-1s. Healthcare founders - you have to get specific about your ideal customer profile. Your target market isn't "health systems" Northwell Health is incredibly different than a small regional system doing $500 million in annual revenue on Cerner. Your target market isn't mental health. A private practice on Healthie is wildly different from a community mental health center on Qualifacts. 1. Size of organization 2. Existing tech stack 3. Specialty and subspecialty And so much more can impact how good of a fit you are. You don't have time to waste resources changing deals with little chance to close. I strongly recommend asking these for these three items on your website lead form. It gives you the foundation to creating a lead scoring system from. Article in the comments.

🤔 How do (US) hospitals spend money 101? Salaries, Wages, Benefits: 45-55% Professional Services: 12-22% Supplies: 12-18% Depreciation/Amortization: 3-6% Other Expenses: 5-20% 8 key insights: n°1. Hospitals consume 31% of US healthcare spending: Despite being the largest spending category, many hospitals struggle with low operating margins, often below 2%. n°2. Labor costs dominate hospital expenses: Salaries, wages, and benefits account for 45-55% of a hospital’s expenditures, with front-line staff making up 75-82% of the workforce. n°3. Contract labor adds significant costs: Hospitals often resort to staffing agencies due to labor shortages, paying 2-3 times more for contract workers compared to employed staff. n°4. Supplies account for 12-18% of expenses: This includes medical equipment, drugs, and personal protective equipment. n°5. For-profit vs. non-profit hospitals: For-profit hospitals tend to manage costs more efficiently, keeping salaries and expenses lower, but often at the expense of services like Medicaid or charity care. n°6. Economies of scale in larger health systems: Larger systems benefit from negotiating better prices for supplies and services. n°7. Rural hospitals face unique challenges: Limited access to talent and capital means rural hospitals must rely more heavily on expensive outsourced labor and struggle to offer high-margin services. n°8. Staffing shortages remain a key issue: Despite financial recovery post-COVID for many hospitals, staffing shortages continue, driving hospitals to explore different revenue models and operational changes to sustain profitability. With over 300,000 videos recorded using our HIPAA-compliant app, we've gained valuable insights into communicating effectively with patients. Our mission is to empower healthcare providers with the tools and confidence to record clinic visits, thus enhancing patient trust and engagement. Pain vs. Pleasure Every conversation with a patient holds significant power—it can build or erode trust and influence their emotional responses, whether intentionally or not. It’s crucial to consider whether our interactions aim to genuinely understand and collaborate with our patients or inadvertently steer them toward our perspectives. Creating an atmosphere that encourages open discussion is essential. This means providing a safe space where patients feel comfortable expressing concerns, such as reluctance to proceed with a treatment or anxieties about outcomes. When patients can freely communicate their reservations, it enhances trust and fosters a more productive dialogue. At the core of these exchanges is the neurological principle that our interactions can trigger emotional and cognitive responses, influencing trust and comfort levels. By consciously fostering an environment of empathy and understanding, healthcare professionals can promote a more effective therapeutic relationship. This approach respects the patient's autonomy and aligns with the healthcare provider's role in serving the patient's best interests. We need to highlight more bootstrapped healthcare companies. I rarely see founders of these small businesses profiled at conferences or in the media. The chances of building a $100M+ revenue healthcare company are very slim. But that’s the expectation once you accept VC funding (especially Series A and beyond). Let me remind you, most healthcare companies do lower revenue than total capital raised. And you can build a wonderful life and help your community with much lower revenue / growth, if you take minimal or no funding. And believe it or not, most VC-backed founders are fascinated by founders and business models that didn’t require external capital. Do you agree? Or would you prefer media and “influencers” to focus on venture-backed and publicly traded companies? Sometimes I feel like I’m shouting out into the void. Because majority of content is focused on the unicorn chasers. Would love to hear from founders of bootstrapped companies in the comments?
