So, then why the huge disparity in media valuation (and subsequent earnings) here? Let's take a look... *** The Masters leaves a reported $269M of potential revenue on the table each year. Why? If I could teach any brands or creators to improve at one thing, it would be testing & iterating on different content formats. Uncle Charlie Marketing Co.'s recent content with Element Indoor Golf is a great example... Step 1: Test multiple repeatable content formats Step 2: Analyze performance to decide which formats to continue with Step 3: Iterate on winning formats and focus on improving hooks, editing, and view duration This week alone, we've identified at least two content series we'll be continuing with and that we can improve upon. It sounds simple, but most creators and brands stop after Step 1 and never analyze or iterate on what works. Repeatable content formats win on social. Stop guessing so much. DTC brands, this forgotten "Ghost Segment" could be costing you big. I’ve audited 50+ DTC brands this year. Every single one had this issue. I’m talking about your "Inactive in 90 Days" segment. This segment includes subscribers eligible to receive emails. But haven’t been emailed in 90 days. Imagine the sales slipping through your fingers: - New leads falling off the radar. - Loyal customers missing your latest campaigns. - Hot prospects not being re-engaged when they should be. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Here’s how to turn this "Ghost" segment into profit: → Identify the "No emails in 90 days" segment → Discover why they aren't receiving emails → Launch targeted re-engagement campaigns → Review your segmentation strategy monthly Don’t let this "ghost" segment keep costing you sales. And remember - this isn’t a one-time fix. You need to change how you send your campaigns. The problem happens when brands use the same segments over and over. Plain text emails are what UGC ads were 1 year ago. They regularly outperform branded emails. Except unlike UGCs, you can curate plain text emails in a way that is consistent with your brand image and voice.

The worst thing a brand that sponsors a sports team can be is J.A.S. Just. Another. Sign. Fans have become numb to signage. Why? We put it everywhere in our stadiums. Fans will see over 3,000 sponsorship ads per game on game day, our brains have been programmed to tune them out. We've become numb to them. I am not saying don't buy signage. I am saying you can't ONLY buy signage. You also can't just put your logo on a sign. That makes you J.A.S. Get creative. Highlight key parts of your brand or service in the signage you buy. Add in lower funnel elements that the signage drives to. Take fans through the full marketing funnel with the combined sponsorship package. Find more relationship touch points...weed out the 'transactional' touch points. Do an audit of your package today. But whatever you do..don't be Just Another Sign. You'll end the year wondering about the value your brand got from the money you are spending.
