The week following the launch of Sei Labs Sei v2 has been full of announcements, with no signs of slowing down. Phase 2 of the Sei Foundation Airdrop was launched. There was over 27 million SEI tokens available to over 40,000 unique addresses.  Liquid stakers and NFT collectors both eligible, community members have until the start of Phase 3 to confirm their eligibility. OpenSea, the largest Web3 marketplace for NFTs and crypto collectibles was deployed on Sei. Alongside Sei Opensea is leveraging rapid finality and throughput, allowing for buying and selling on all your favourite NFT's on SEI. Sei connected to the wider EVM ecosystem with the first bridge live on Sei v2 through symbiosis_fi  Making the user experience when bridging Sei even more seamless than before. The launch of the Sei x Gitcoin Creator Fund was announced to celebrate the launch of v2. This is a collaboration that looks to support the growth and development of the Sei ecosystem through multiple funding rounds. Sei in collaboration with Revolut the all-in-one finance app trusted by over 40 million users, launched a Crypto Learn campaign This is to educate users on how Sei’s pioneering parallelised EVM enhances speed, security, and developer tools to meet evolving needs.  LayerZero Labs went live on Sei V2, meaning developers on other LayerZero Labs supported networks can now seamlessly deploy their applications on Sei V2. This will allow for developers to build seamless omnichain applications, tokens, and experiences. Today is an inflection point for Breakout with the announcement of our $4.5m venture growth round led by the experienced team at RockawayX with participation from Mechanism, Round13, CSquared, IOBC, and Mentat Group. Operationally, we’ve accomplished one of the hardest feats — going zero to one. We currently have over 5,000 traders that have collectively traded over $12B in notional volume and we’re growing exponentially. It’s now time to take things to the next level with a stacked treasury that we can leverage to improve our product even further and get Breakout into the hands of tens of thousands of new traders across the globe. I often get asked what it’s like to run a startup and many times I don’t even know where to begin. Startups are HARD. I won’t get into the minutiae but after 4 startups and 16 years, the biggest takeaway for me has been that in order to succeed, you have to mentally overcome the fact that successful startups need to fall forward and constantly navigate unique obstacles without allowing any one of those obstacles to paralyze the company. This is a constant battle that is unachievable without a resilient team that all share the same mindset and entrepreneurial drive. Our team at Breakout is the best I’ve ever been a part of and our growth in such a short period of time could not have been achieved so far without each and every person involved. The Kick Off Round Of The Sei Foundation Creator Fund's $10M Initiative Has Just Complete. With 862.5K $SEI Matched To Support Creators. The kickoff round offered a $250,000 matching pool to support projects building on Sei, utilizing Quadratic Funding (QF) through Gitcoin Grants Stack. This method amplifies the impact of small donations ensuring projects receive a larger share of the matching pool. For the kick off round Sei used an innovative approach to ensure a fair funding distribution pioneered by Gitcoin. The use of Connection-Oriented Cluster-Matching (COCM) addresses some of the limitations of traditional QF. Kick Off Round Metrics: - Total Matching Pool: 862,500 SEI - Total Raised by Crowd: $38,371.68 - Number of Voters: 2,707 - Number of Projects: 63 - Average Donor Contribution: $14.17 The Sei Foundation has partnered with Karma GAP to keep grantees accountable and share their progress with the community. Grantees must use Karma GAP to set milestones and provide updates. To qualify for future rounds, they must share their progress and explain fund usage. While we've come far, true global payment interoperability—especially with stablecoins—still lies ahead. The work to create a borderless financial system extends far beyond Bridge/Stripe. Shoutout to beasts like Beam, BlindPay, Yellow Card App, Stables, Fractal Payments, Sphere, Copperx, Zodia Markets and many more As boundaries continue to get pushed on the infra, I'm excited for how these translate into end user products. Over the past two years, Integral Labs had the privilege of contributing to the creation of the Polkadot Community Foundation. Polkadot has already pioneered one of the most active and robust DAO governance systems to date, including tokenholder management of a nine-figure treasury. As the DAO continues to mature, the need to represent and serve tokenholders’ interests off-chain has become increasingly apparent. That’s where the Polkadot Community Foundation comes in. Designing the corporate structure, governance, and operating model, Integral Labs joined a working group led by our friends at Actum Node with a mission to extend the reach of Polkadot's onchain governance into the offchain world. This project was a first in the industry, with a novel design that stands apart from traditional DAO "wrapper" structures. Unlike foundations that subsume treasury assets and delegate limited powers back to the DAO, the Polkadot Community Foundation works as an optional, unopinionated side-car entity that any DAO member may utilize in their proposals. This ensures the DAO retains full autonomy and control of its treasury while enabling offchain activities such as holding real world assets, entering commercial agreements, making fiat payments, owning IP, and more—all for the benefit of, and under the explicit direction of, the tokenholders. The governing documents and bylaws are open source and available for future use by Polkadot or other DAOs. We hope is that this modular design becomes a blueprint for a future constellation of real-world businesses to permissionlessly cooperate and compete to serve DAOs by extending their existing onchain governance systems. The Polakdot community voted with over 98% support to establish the Polkadot Community Foundation. Now incorporated, community members have begun to publish treasury proposals that utilize the foundation, including the creation of what will be the first mobile app owned by an open community, and increasing accountability for vendors and service providers in the ecosystem.
