You're juggling client requests and tight event schedules. How do you navigate the balancing act?
Beyond adapting and overcoming, I think many event professionals move too fast to the next shiny thing (project) and don’t give themselves the permission (or time) to even process their feelings and emotions. It’s insanity most of the time, and burn out is highly likely in this profession, so you need the mindset and tools of a marathon runner! Feeling my emotions and resting are the most valuable resilience tools in my kit. It seems counter productive but has actually created even more time, clarity and focus before I dive back into the next big project. Embracing change and adapting are vital, but allowing our humanness to surface is what most are missing!

What motivates you to work in event planning?
Impact. The impact and ripple effect that events have on enhancing relationships, human connection, growth, education, charity, sustainability, you name it! I love being a part of an industry that has such a far reach as well as so many talented and creative people who make it all come together!

You're aiming to boost your networking results. How can you achieve more with less time?
BE AUTHENTIC. Showing up to networking events as ourselves is the best gift and definition of cultivating reciprocity. Not to sell, promote or demand a meeting to learn about our business or products. Rather, to connect and be human first! Just have some fun and bring your joy to networking. It’s about building a relationship and for me, that always starts with trust and authenticity.

How do you incorporate wellness fair discoveries into your daily routine?
Starting my morning intentionally for the past year, with a daily routine and ritual has transformed my body and mind! It’s a priority, not an option. I carve out 2 hours every morning to do the following: meditate, breathwork, journal, exercise, and get ready! After lunch and/or dinner, it’s time to get outside for a 30 min walk. Staying disciplined and making my self care the top priority has been life changing!
