Hey Freelancers: A quick question... Are you reverse engineering your website traffic? Did you know there are tools you can use now that instantly profile every single visitor to your website as they're on the site, in real-time? These tools pull back a LinkedIn URL, an ISP address, a name, and any other identifiable information which the person visiting has made publicly available. That information is sent directly to you via a Slack ping so you see who's visiting live. You can then take those profiles and use data enrichment tools to grab even more information, and move those folks into an email outreach tool to do WARM outreach to people who fit your ideal client profile rather than constantly cold pitching. You know exactly what I’m talking about. “Elevate your ***** game” “Take your ****** to the next level” “Achieve ****** excellence” Readers don’t give a flying shit about your fluffy platitudes. Give them something meaningful and targeted at their actual pain point. Not empty adjectives that they’re already seeing every other company use.

Which could be a good thing, as these are people based off your existing audience So if your current audience is a good mix of clients and prospects, great Instagram will go and show your content to the right people If it's a mix of friends, family and people who like the irrelevant memes you share... Stop using the “spray & pray” approach to SEO keywords 🤦🏼‍♂️ The easiest place to start is with your top selling product. Do your research on what words/phrases are associated with that product and tailor your content to those keywords. And I mean HAMMER those keywords with content. By doing this, your content will establish a higher page authority. Why do I still recommend having a lead magnet on your website? If your website has a conversion rate of 1-3% of anyone who visits, and you don't have a downloadable SOMETHING you're missing out on reaching and "getting" the people who are not quite there yet. You can get up to THIRTY PERCENT of your web visitors if it's a goodie. And you really don't want it to be shit What does a shit downloadable say about you? And the care you give to customers? And the value you place on the value of their email? It's got to be the good stuff It's got to have some effort in it. And it's got to have some of your IP and your unique flavor to it Yes it's going to take energy But you want them to have a nice feeling about you and even if it filters them out (which is part of the purpose of mine)... You want them to rate you because of the quality of it Yours doens't need to be an epic 38pager In fact... some of my best have been really short. But it does need to be HIGH VALUE.
