🔥 Have you tried making a Photoscan Material and got some unwanted lighting in your Base Color? 🎇 This is the tool you need in Substance Designer, Luminance Highpass node. It Cancels out lighting information by performing a highpass on the input's Luminance value. Useful for fixing photographed textures with lighting information. Animating with Cascadeur: Physics-based animation software is pretty wild. That’s 8 keyframes there. The one on the right is my first rough animation “Keyframe prompt” and the green dude on the left is the interpretation.

1. Adobe’s “Project Turntable” transforms 2D vector images into 3D models that can rotate, showcased at Adobe MAX. 2. The tool allows artists to view objects from multiple angles, avoiding time-consuming redrawing. 3. A demo showed fast 3D model generation of a warrior and dragon scene, rotating them horizontally and vertically. 4. The tool handles complex shapes, filling in unseen details like full legs or shoes. 5. The AI augments, not replaces, original human art. 6. Happy Wednesday all! Today I want to talk about hiccups setbacks and what to do when a troll enters the dungeon! Today as I was prepping an exciting review meeting with my technical artist on all the amazing VFX applicants I logged in and saw nothing. All gone! Poof! Not sure what happened possibly a glitch in the matrix or what not but plans had changed for the entire day and rest of the week in a flash. All I could do was to try and get things moving forward again. Can’t get mad about a setback no time! So I hopped on here sent the SOS to all the amazing individuals interested in the VFX role and stated the facts. -emails gone -review delayed -follow ups complicated And now it’s on to being a bit humble and asking for support. Anyone interested in the SENIOR VFX ROLE please reapply 🧡. Mistakes happen and hiccups and delays are all part of the startup life. It’s important to remind oneself to be professional under the hardest of times but also keep the larger picture in mind. This may have flipped my week upside down but it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the weeks, months, years ahead. Much love everyone!

🔥 Substance Designer Quick-Tip: If you were looking for a way to make a procedural tilling wall, where you mix two different Patterns this is how you can do it: 🥇 Create 2 Tile Generators with a scale of 1, and a Random Value in Interstice x. Set the node to Max Mode and the Luminance Random to 0.5. Be sure each of them has different values in their X/Y. 🥈 Use a Blend node in Copy mode to mix these two patterns. Use a shape node connected to a Transform node which is set to "Not Tilling", and place the middle circle in the Lower edge of the image frame. Maya Attribute Options tool.! Newest addition to my personal tool set. Took me a few days to write it on and off. So I went all in with the model of Winchester and created a rig in Control Rig, animated the model in Unreal, rendered in Unreal..everything in Unreal. I have created a small Blueprint for the rifle to have more control in the Unreal sequencer.
