AE’s - you must consistently train your SDR’s… If you want them to produce great leads consistently. ————- As an AE it’s your job to onboard any SDR’s you work with. This includes: Reading them into existing oppty’s you are working. Training them on your territory What prospects are responding to What messaging to avoid Biggest problems we are solving for existing customers Who your existing customers are in your territory A plan of attack with names of specific prospects and ideas on how to reach them Bonus: do call/prospecting blitzs with them. ———- Most SDR’s aspire to be in your position one day soon. Help them. It’s a win-win If you put more time into helping your SDR’s the quality of leads you get will be worth it. ——- Also, (unpopular opinion) AE’s should be doing their own lead gen on top of this. #InTheArena

Measuring ROI on your company's podcast isn't about guesswork. It's about hard numbers and real impact. 1. Listeners or Downloads: Want more reach? Track your downloads. Example: 6,000 downloads with a $10,000 investment gives you a 60% ROI. ((Total Downloads / Investment) x 100 ) 2. Leads and Conversions: Your podcast should generate leads. If 500 leads come from your podcast and you convert 5 at $1,000 each, a $10,000 investment brings a 50% ROI. ((Number of Leads from Podcast / Investment) x 100 ) 3. Ad Revenue or Sponsorships: Turn those ads into dollars. Example: $15,000 in ad revenue minus $10,000 in production costs equals a 50% ROI. ((Ad Revenue - Production Costs) / Production Costs x 100 ) 4. Engagement Metrics: Look at the average consumption rate, ratings, reviews, and social media interactions. If your average consumption rate is 80% for 35-minute episodes with 500 listeners per episode: 35 * 500 = 17,500 minutes. Divide by production cost for engagement ROI. 5. Brand Awareness: Measure increases in social media impressions, website traffic, and unique listeners. Calculate by (Number of Impressions or Visitors / Cost of Production). More eyes on your brand for less money equals success. 6. Professional Relationships: Networking through your podcast can open doors. These relationships can be invaluable, even if they're harder to quantify. 7. Educational Impact: If your goal is to educate, measure outcomes. High download rates for educational content mean you're hitting the mark. Don't guess. Measure. And turn your podcast into a powerhouse.

SDRs - Struggling with your ramp? Here are 5 tips to immediately improve your results and beat your ramp 1. Meet with 3 top performing BDRs, pick their brains on everything from Prospecting, Research, Sequences, calls, emails, Linkedin DM's etc. Once you have a good pool of knowledge on strategies that are working in the current market you can adapt it and make it your own. 2. Problem enablement: The most important thing to know is WHO you help and HOW you help them. Speak to your AE's who've closed business, CSMs and your own internal personas. The goal is to be able to crisply articulate how you can help a target persona in a target account get to their desired state. No one cares about WHAT you do, they care about how you can help them. 3. Volume: Practice makes perfect, you're not going to get good without the reps so get out there and prepare to fail. 4. Double down: If you find one medium is yielding more meetings then double down on that one, e.g if you're booking 5 meetings a month through call and 1 via email, try changing to a call only sequence for a while to see if it ups your results. 5. Feedback loops: Regularly ask your top-performing peers, AEs and your manager in your 121 for SPECIFIC advice. This means you'll always be growing your skillset. Make sure you're not getting advice from everyone though as this will dilute your focus P.S I'll do a part 2 of this next week but anything you'd add? How to save your agency $20-40k/m in costs (by hiring A+ players at 10% of the cost) I ran this exact playbook and saved an agency ~$700k/yr in costs - They had great sales and revenue numbers - But, they had no profit and loads of debt Why? - They had a 100% onshore US team - They couldn't afford to pay them - So they took out loans and debt So we conducted a TEAM AUDIT Q: "Which roles need to be onshore?" A: Account strategists Q: Which roles are not account strategists? A: Media Buyer, Ops Manager, Community Managers EASY - For his media buyer, I introduced him to multiplymii - For his ops manager, I introduced him to go carpathian - For his community manager, I introduced him to cipher HC. All of these companies staff offshore talent from different regions. All have been vetted by me and have clients working with their talent. All of them have more cost effective options. Words of caution 1. Offshoring IS the solution for this founder, but I did warm him, it wouldn’t be as easy as hiring a vendor and then he’ll be immediately successful. 2. Letting go of employees is hard, but when there are no margins, you have to do it. 3. Not every hire works out. Working with an agency mitigates this from happening and sometimes they’ll staff until you have a successful hire. SDRs can be taught to be Managers SDRs can be taught to be Marketeers SDRs can be taught to do almost any role Fact: It's better to hire someone who is 60% ready with the right behaviours. “Never use a permission-based cold call opener.” “Keep cold emails to under 60 words.” “Always use an upfront contract during a discovery call.” To the sales guru, these feel like facts, not opinions. The guru really believes permission-based openers put you in a one-down or subservient position and therefore don’t work. But someone who uses permission-based openers has success. Every time you see a post from a sales guru, remember: “This is from their point of view, based on what they’ve experienced.” No matter how much conviction the sales guru has, most sales advice is not objectively true. Everyone on LinkedIn is sharing perspectives not facts. Try things for yourself. See what works for you.

4 reasons I’d NEVER join a startup as one of the first 3 sales reps: 1. The founder hasn’t sold the product themselves 2. The founder hasn’t found and closed at least 10 deals themselves (ideally outside friends and family deals) 3. The founder hasn’t taken the first 100ish sales calls themselves 4. The founder is expecting to hire a sales rep at this stage and step away from selling. I think you get the point... Founders / CEOs that aren’t in the trenches at this stage will 10000000% fail. Hiring ANYONE else to do it won’t work either.
