What techniques can you use to develop research questions and hypotheses from literature?
I am an audio learner. So my go to is to take a statistic procedure I regularly use in my analytic tool box and watch YouTube videos that do the same thing using a different software. Getting familiar with the new software becomes easier this way and gives me the curiosity I need to keep learning.

What do you do if you're a data analysis professional trying to keep up with industry trends?
An easier approach could be identifying some key tools you've been using in one program then look for some you tube videos that do a similar procedure using different software. Placing the knowledge in your mental rolodex can help connect how learning the new software is useful and to be able to apply the new knowledge quicker. For me this process makes it easier to learn and adapt new advancing tools.

How can you remove duplicate data in your statistical analysis?
An easy button is to de-dup data using excel. Make sure to condition by the appropriate variables. I would also say another consideration is to identify what is being defined as a unique identifier and sort by that identifier to better understand what is similar and unique before de-duplicating. When using base SAS software you can de-dup using proc sort no dupkey. Make sure you understand the unique features and test your sort and dedup to make sure you are getting what you want.
