🌟 Before I joined Paylocity, I did what our future clients do: I evaluated different solutions to find the best fit. Having come from a company that taught me so much, I appreciated its strengths but also recognized areas for improvement based on client feedback. As I searched for a company to represent, here are some key factors I considered: 1. Service & Support: A dedicated account manager backed by a solid team is crucial. Paylocity prioritizes work-life balance, which fosters a positive employee culture and improves retention. When clients work with familiar, dedicated teams, it enhances their experience. In contrast, companies that neglect employee well-being often face high turnover, resulting in inconsistent service for its customers. (Also be sure to google search recent layoffs) 2. Technology: Always ask for demonstrations of capabilities. If your current provider can’t meet your needs, don’t take another vendor’s word for it—ask them to prove it. PTO management and carrier integrations are significant pain points for many. Addressing your challenges early helps determine if a solution is feasible before making a decision. 3. Demos Matter: When seeking an all-in-one app-based system, do your homework. Some vendors misrepresent themselves; a URL saved on your device isn’t a true app. Many clients transitioning from such providers are often surprised by the poor experience. Watch out for red flags—if a demo takes you outside their system, expect reporting issues and increased manual data entry. These insights can easily be overlooked during evaluations. We encourage asking tough questions, even if it means saying no sometimes; it’s better than offering false promises.
