Great dialogue between Doug and Stephen. I have found that emphasis is often placed on leaders to create a psychologically safe environment. It is equally important for these very same leaders to equip their individual team members with the relationship skills to actively engage and speak up in meaningful ways. By encouraging team members to understand their own biases, recognize those of others, and approach interactions with a mindset of "what can I learn from you in this instance" can transform team dynamics.
