Here's an often-overlooked acceleration hack for content leaders: Spend the time to give good feedback, with clarity. Feedback can either expedite the next rev by empowering your team to take action or send them on a wild goose chase trying desperately to interpret your guidance, slowing down the process and creating chaos and confusion. An extra 5 mins spent can save hours or days of swirling. (Trust me, I've been there, staring at a poorly worded or nebulous response to a piece of content that leaves me scraping the barrel for clarity and next steps.) Not all feedback is created equal. Here's how I think about giving feedback to accelerate work across the team: Level 1: In-Line Edits with Track Changes ✅ Pros: Quick 🔴 Cons: Very little amount of knowledge transfer 👉 When I use: Minor edits, just get it done Level 2: Comments ✅ Pros: Quick + ability to add more context to edits for some knowledge transfer to make future project faster 🔴 Cons: Comments can be misunderstood without precise and specific writing 👉 When I use: Minor knowledge transfer or additional context needed Level 3: Loom Video (my personal favorite method) ✅ Pros: Relatively quick (< 5-10 mins), much better ability to explain complex concepts and provide clarity/context 🔴 Cons: Takes a little more time and effort 👉 When I use: Need to explain detailed instructions or complex feedback Level 4: In-person or Zoom meeting ✅ Pros: Highest fidelity of explanation and ability to provide clarity in real-time 🔴 Cons: Takes the most time and requires scheduling a meeting 👉 When I use: If the possibility of misunderstanding is high or I need more context before giving feedback The best feedback empowers your team to move forward with confidence. The worst feedback creates chaos and confusion. Choose wisely.

So much of your strategy relies on the communication of it It’s why we are making proactive efforts to make our naming of things memorable Your internal comms is equally as important as external ⬇️ Like these playbooks ⬇️ 👻 Ghostbusters: A playbook to nurture someone when they ghost a BDR or sales rep or no show a meeting 💨 Need for Speed: A playbook to create velocity in the funnel so things that took 30 days take 10-15 days 🫣 commitment issues: A playbook to drive bottom of funnel engagement for those that aren’t ready for a 1-on-1 demo 👀 Let’s get creepy: a playbook using intent signals and personalization to catch people’s attention Just a few we created 😊 You know what people remember most? The names. You know what they won’t remember? All the details of what it does and even the value it brings to them. Mix the names with some fun gifs and you have a fun, somewhat entertaining way, to help people know your strategy without being proficient in your respective area. I recently took part in a panel hosted by Dan McGaw, where myself and other Marketing and RevOps leaders to discuss building successful go-to-market strategies. Our latest survey offers a comprehensive look at the current state of selling, featuring insights from 800 front-line sellers. A standout finding: 3 out of 4 respondents believe they could save at least an hour by eliminating the task of creating personalized emails for prospects. While personalization is essential for connecting with prospects, it’s also incredibly time-consuming. Sellers understand its importance, but those hours quickly add up. We know time is money, and we’re dedicated to providing today’s sellers with the tools they need to personalize efficiently and effectively. Additionally, we asked sellers, “What specific tasks in your role do you think would benefit most from AI and automation?” The top three responses were: 1. Follow-up and engagement tracking 2. "The industry’s growth, once fueled by a relentless drive for innovation and differentiation, now sputters as most companies have what they need (and if they don’t, they’re making do). Average marketing budgets have fallen to 7.7% of overall company revenue in 2024, down from 9.1% in 2023, according to Gartner’s latest annual CMO Spend Survey. CMOs are living in an era of less." This article by Gene De Libero, CCXP caught my attention because it captured data around feelings I've had as I chat with various folks across the industry who have seen cutbacks across the board. This leads to a focus on customer retention and expansion, or chasing "differentiators" that come up in the tech hype cycle (hello again AI, and don't forget Crypto). Of the strategies outlined in here, I personally favour the education and thought leadership approach, but overall there's a strong play here in the strategies for composability and the ability to "add on" to the stack you already have.
