Struggling to align partner expectations with fund performance in Venture Capital?
One thing I’ve found to be really important is understanding the background, values and investment philosophies of your partners and LP’s (investors). Many investment partners come from varying backgrounds— textbook analysts and financial modeling, corporate investing, family office and more frequently, you have battle tested founders who have become successful investors because they can spot potential in founders and products, and they’ve proven themselves to be resourceful problem solvers who can build and create value. These archetypes aren’t equal; they are complementary in various dealmaking scenarios and stages of growth. Different expertise supports healthy portfolio evolution and constant recalibration leads to sustainable growth.

For each round, I read and scored 10 entries to assess their team, project, market and impact on the Chilean entrepreneurial ecosystem. I am very proud of the incredible impact of this program…
