We're looking for partners that help with DTC of a wide range: SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise As our agency is growing, we've been constantly getting asked "how's this app?" or "Hey have you heard of x?" The truth is that we're familiar with a lot of the names and products, but unfamiliar with how the support looks like on the backend. We've got some exciting things planned out with some of the brands we're working with, and in order to execute properly, we're looking for the right Tech/SaaS partners. We've been in conversations with a few, and it's hard to distinguish what's true when we're trying to compare competitors... Sometimes, we'll hear something like: Company 1: "We do X... They don't because they do Y" Company 2: "We don't do Y, do X. Also they suck at it anyways" We're trying to avoid all of the noise by asking for first-hand experience on the backend if possible. - Product is great(I would have to assume most will be) - Customer support is great - Onboarding process is quick and seamless(In time for BFCM) - Active in the Ecommerce world (Attends events and hears from brands directly on their issues) - Cool people. It can take 2-3 months just to get approval to run ads for RMG operators. That’s before you even think about testing, scaling, or optimizing campaigns. It’s frustrating, it’s slow, and it’s filled with red tape. But having someone on your side who knows the ins and outs of this process is everything. Here’s what it actually looks like when you’re trying to launch a campaign in this space: Month 1: Compliance Checks & Waiting Around You’ve filled out every form, submitted all your documents, and followed every rule in the book. Now you wait. And wait. If you’re lucky, you’ll get feedback from Meta or Google saying you missed some tiny detail. If not, your account just sits in “review” for weeks. If linking a well setup GA account to Meta can lift conversions by 22%, and setting up Conversion API can lift it by 33%... Why haven't you done it already? It's probably because your paid social team isn't responsible for GA, site work, back-end, measurement plans, tagging, tracking, back end systems. If they brought it up at all, they likely just asked your team to do it which... your team doesn't know how to. My team does. Can we guarantee that same level of lift for either of those connections? No. But what if it was only a 10% total lift? and you saw a higher lift in other ad channels like GAds? What if it was a 20% total lift? As a bonus, you'd also get more accurate data across channels to forecast & budget off of, a better preforming site, and identify where you're at risk of being hacked or unknowingly collecting data that can get you kicked off of the platforms. To get technical, we recently wrapped up an engagement with an attribution and media mix modeling company that had iframes stripping all of the tracking - when they looked at the Shopify numbers almost everything was direct or organic. The site issues that we found identified these causing all of these. We fixed those, they saw a lift in ad performance and changed how they budgeted based on that. The media teams would have never have known to look for these, the devs didn't know that it was an issue. .. DTC brands, Here’s why your email flows aren't performing (and how to fix it). I’ve audited over 10 email accounts in the last month, each plagued with low flow engagement and disappointing flow conversion rates. Yet they’re still focused on pretty looking emails, thinking it will move the needle. If your email flows aren't driving engagement, conversions and revenue, here's what to do instead: → Implement detailed data collection: Gather data from all touchpoints, like website interactions, opt-in forms (we love Formtoro), social media, email, and customer service… then compare this data with what you have in your flows to ensure everything is congruent. → Focus on the entire lifecycle: Most brands have an incomplete customer journey. Build flows for each stage of the customer journey, from awareness to conversion, to post-purchase engagement and loyalty to ensure there’s no gaps. → Break down silos: Encourage teamwork between departments/agencies to create a unified view of the customer journey so everything is congruent, from ads, to social to email. → Adopt an omnichannel approach: Use systems that track and combine interactions across all channels for a seamless experience. For example: Email, SMS, direct mail, Messenger. → Conduct regular research: Use surveys, interviews, and behavior analysis to understand audience needs, preferences, and pain points and then use that information to personalize your flows better. → Split test: Make sure you are split test each email in your flows, with a heavy emphasis on underperforming emails. → Map emotional touchpoints: Consider how interactions make people feel at each stage. Create engaging content and experiences using the data you are collecting to do this. → Continuously update and refine: Regularly review and update your customer journey map to match changing customer behaviors and market conditions, the goal is to keep getting better and ensure your flow revenue keeps growing. → Personalize the journey: Use collected data to create personalized experiences for individual customer needs and preferences instead of ‘one size fits all’ flows. Personalized emails work much better. Are you a 7 or 8-figure DTC brand? Email marketing matters, but it doesn’t make sense to work with email marketing agencies whose primary function is just to design ‘pretty’ emails with no strategy behind it. That’s a dinosaur agency. Start working with growth specialists who really understand how to make you money.

To scale profitably, you need to know your contribution margin – how much money is left after covering variable costs like production, shipping, ad spend, your agency fees, and CC fees. Here’s how you forecast Google Ads spend using contribution margin: Calculate Contribution Margin (CM): Revenue – Variable Costs = Contribution Margin. Example: If you sell a product for $97.99 and your variable costs are $52.00, your CM is $46. Determine Your Ad Budget Based on CM: Once you know your CM, you can calculate how much you’re willing to spend to acquire a customer and remain profitable. Optimize Ad Spend: Track how well your campaigns are performing against these margins. If you’re overspending on CPAs, it’s time to adjust bids or pause underperforming ads.
