What’s the saying? Culture eats strategy for breakfast. The culture of a team is the one thing that drives all else. It can make or break a team. As a leader, this is something I strive to make sure is in place every day. It’s a part of the way I lead my team, the trainings we receive and offer, the way we work with teachers and students, the ideas that we come up with….it’s in all that we do. It’s at the forefront of my every thought. I appreciate the thoughts that this graphic offers in regards to to effective leadership.

With the changing higher-ed landscape, we need people like Dr. David Jordan, DHA, MPA steering the ship. There is no way around the need for businesses and educated people to run them. Too many times all people interpret from business operations is greed. Greed leadership is a dying way to run a business. More and more data is presented on social responsibility of an organization becoming a driving decision in customers purchasing from that company. This is not news to Dr. Jordan! Dr. Jordan is not rebranding Clark University School of Business with fancy words and cool logos, but addressing the educational demands of the next generation of business leaders and decision-makers. Looking for a way to help support the emotional health of kiddos battling rare diseases and support a local area youth leadership board? KC4K, Kids Caring For Kids, a local non-profit youth leadership board had an amazing idea to stuff zebras and send them out to kiddos battling rare diseases in the month of February! Did you know? February is a month to raise awareness of over 7,000 rare diseases. Every single zebra in the world has a unique pattern. The zebra is the official mascot for rare disease patients. Historically, medical professionals were told that when they “hear hoofbeats,” they should not expect to see a zebra. In other words, look for the more common answer, a horse.
