The conversation moved beyond the hype, providing a grounded analysis of AI’s real-world applications in insurance. Key insights: -Disruption doesn’t happen by chance. AI’s true power lies in its ability to address targeted use cases, driving meaningful change. Without a clear strategy, it’s just noise. -#AI and other new technologies can offer tremendous opportunity to deliver improved customer experience but a plan for AI readiness needs to be enacted. -“Humanomation,” a term coined by Benekiva, blends human interaction with automation. Brent emphasized that claims professionals gravitate toward platforms that elevate their capabilities rather than replace them. -Tony highlighted that while AI can optimize tasks like claims analysis, it shouldn’t replace human decision-making. AI’s role is to ensure the right claims get paid at the right time, without removing human oversight. AI should empower teams, streamlining workflows and improving the beneficiary experience without losing the human touch.
